From the first moment I spoke to Marita on the phone I knew it was going to be great and it did not disappoint. She was so lovely, professional and helped me book great trips around port Douglas. I am already planning my next trip back and will definitely stay here again!! Thanks for a great vacation!!

We had a lovely stay at Pink Flamingo! Every little detail was attended to, from the bathrobes and sarongs, to the cute bathroom glass. We stayed in the single room which was fine for us, but would love to go back and stay in the garden rooms. Gigi and Andrea are wonderful. And a plus that it is kid free, makes for a relaxing stay.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the beginning of January 2014. Not really knowing what to expect I was so impressed. There is so much space and added touches to each room. You have a lot of personal space, the rooms were a lot bigger then I ever imagined. Each room/villa has an outside bath and shower, outside seating area, inside bathroom, small kitchenette with simple amenities available such as coffee/milk etc, seating area with TV inside and big bed. It really is beautifully done and you can see the amount of thought that went in to each villa. Gigi is very friendly and welcoming and they are happy to recommend restaurants and tours in the area. Very well located, just a short 15/20 minute walk to the centre of town or a 2 minute car ride. You are also close to the beach. The communal areas are great, outside BBQ, honesty bar, pool, board games. You really can just sit by the pool, relax in your villa or head out to Port Douglas.
If I find myself in the area again I would most definitely stay at the Pink Flamingo.
Thanks for such a great stay.
Ellie and Travis

Room Tip: All the rooms are the same, you each have your own private villa with lots of space.

Very pleased with the friendly and helpful service offered before and during our stay in Port Douglas. Managers gave us information and booked a day trip to the Barrier Reef for us before our arrival. Rooms spacious and brightly decorated, well stocked and bed comfy! Loved the day bed too. Pool and bar area very relaxing and it is great that there is no curfew so a late night swim is an option if you feel like it! Great place to stay if you have your own hire car, would be a decent walk into town. Thanks for your great service!

The most beautiful place to stay with lush gardens, birds noises, privacy in your own villa with everything you could possibly need, including hammock, outdoor shower, kitchen facilities, large bed, fly screen windows. The pool was amazing with honour policy on taking drinks from the pool side bar. Sauces available and a BBQ as well as a small library. We loved staying here for two nights as it was private, no children, bright and colourful and away from the noise of the Main Street. Thanks for a great stay!

I'm not sure words are sufficient to describe how wonderful this hotel is. Once you arrive, you feel as though you are in your own paradise that feels like home. The gardens around are beautiful and well maintained, and the private villas are fantastic. There are a couple of parking spots within the accomodation's walls (the gates are locked at night time), but there's also plenty of space to park on the street just outside.

The villas have quirky colour schemes which just adds to the tropical atmosphere. In each private yard (except the garden studios) there is an outdoor bath and shower. There is also a candelabra and the owners are thoughtful enough to provide mosquito repellant. There is a hammock outside the villa and a small table with two chairs - perfect for a romantic outdoor meal.

The kitchen is fantastically equipped, with the basics provided in the cupboards such as cooking oil. The owners also provide you with bath and beach towels to use, and the shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided in dispensers to be more environmentally friendly. There is a fan and airconditioning which is great in the tropical heat, but there are also flyscreens on the windows and doors which is great.

The pool area is quite nice with a small waterfall cascading into the pool. It is surrounded deck chairs and is next to an honour bar. There is even a small library filled with books, dvds and board games which you can borrow. There are herbs growing near the pool which you can pick to add to your cooking if you want, or you could just go to one of the many restaurants on the main street in Port Douglas which is about a 15 minute walk away.

I'm sure there are other small things that I haven't mentioned, but staying in this hotel was one of the highlights of my trip and I would definitely want to stay here again in the future.
