Sharryn made us feel very welcome as soon as we arrived and this continued throughout our stay at the Peninsula. We had a beautiful clean room which overlooked the sea and all the facilities in the room were first class. The restaurant was really nice both for breakfast and evening meal. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

Everything about our stay was perfect. The hotel has an artsy ambiance without being pretentious. Our room faced the pool/courtyard, which was a piece of art in its design. The entire experience was a welcomed change from the typical large chains and resorts. The staff were extremely friendly and responsive to our needs. The daily breakfast served by the pool was excellent and, and we put our one evening meal in the hotel's small restaurant among our top five meals during our three weeks traveling throughout Australia and New Zealand. Not only was the food expertly prepared it was surprisingly affordable. Our room was like a small apartment and we were able to close off the sleeping area with lovely wood louvered panels, allowing one to retire while the other stayed up to read or watch television. The beach was just yards away and the town's shops a short walk. We highly recommend this for adult Port Douglas visitors!

Arrived at the Peninsula Boutique Hotel on the 20/04/2010 at around 8pm. My wife and I were greeted by the hosts, Sherrin and Phil. We were amazing by the location of the hotel and its great facilities. Each room was extremely well presented! My Wife and I LOVED the beautiful view of the ocean in which we were greeted by each morning of our 5 day stay. The lovely big twin bath added to the romantics which we were looking for and we especially loved the attention to detail including: Bathrobes, Aromatherapy candles, plus a great selection of teas and coffees included in our room.

In conclusion to our stay at the Peninsula Boutique Hotel I thought it's values were its:

- Great service daily
- Friendly staff
- Amazing view
- Beautiful buffet breakfasts
- Great pool area
- Great location

GREAT VALUE! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Stayed here for six nights and reception made us feel relaxed from the beginning. The setting is fabulous just behind Four Mile Beach and one of the first things you notice is the grounds and above all the pool which was just so inviting. Rooms are great - well they are referred to as suites and that really is what they are with living area, dining corner, kitchenette complete with microwave and dishwasher, balcony overlooking pool, and separate bedroom and bathroom area.

Attention to detail in the way the rooms are equipped to the common areas was excellent. Attentiveness and friendliness of owners and staff really helped us feel relaxed. It was just so easy to book things from the hotel like the Reef Cruise and the excellent Lady Douglas cruise down the creek back of Port Douglas, sightings of crocs included. The restaurant provided some of the best food in Port Douglas and is well . Would strongly recommend.

We booked a 10 day stay at this hotel . We stayed in room 22 . We where supposed to get a king size bed and had to endure 5 nights on two single beds put together that where very uncomfortable . We where woken throughout the night , every night and early mornings with High pitched sounds Of water Pipes . The Ceiling fan above our bed sounded as if it was about to fall on top of Us and the air conditioner could only be on the very lowest setting because It rattled. Awful !
When we asked to check out early we where told we had signed a contract that meant we had to pay for The whole 10 days even If we wanted To Leave . No one offered us a better room . We where finally allowed to leave on day 6 without having to pay The final

Stayed for six nights beginning of April, on arrival we were greeted very warmly by Sheryn, who also provided cold drinks and flannels which were most welcome. We were then shown to our apartment and Sheryn explained where everything was and how things worked.
Our apartment was spaceous well designed and equipted and also very clean.
There was a very good selection of hot and cold food at breakfast, and the Chef did us pround with the evening meals. (especially the fish and prawns)
All the staff were very helpful and friendly and good advice was given to us for our trips to Rainforest and The Great Barrier Reef.
