“Number 1 for food in PD”
Reviewed August 8, 2014 via mobile

This is by far our favourite place to eat in PD. In a town that menus are expensive and dishes are often over sauced this laid back yachty dishes up a brilliant fresh meals.
Don't come in a rush as it is often busy and the meals come out slowly. Sit back on the deck with a drink in hand and enjoy some good conversation.

“Amazing wedding reception”
Reviewed July 31, 2014 via mobile

My partner and I got married at the Yacht Club in June this year and we still can't stop talking about how fantastic it was. Richard and Simon the chef were so flexible in any requests that we had and put together a great night. Kristie looked after us for the night and nothing was too much of a hassle for her.
We had 35 guests, set up tables under the cover on the deck (because rain was forecasted however originally we were going to set up on the grass.) It looked beautiful with the lanterns and we had the dingy filled with drinks for the guests.
We had the band set up at the end of the deck and had a dance floor in front of them.
There were no midgeys either which I was super happy about! It rained later on in the evening but that meant we got some great photos.
Couldn't have asked for a better night.
Thanks again guys, the reception suited us perfectly as we wanted to make it a chilled out and fun event with our best friends and family.
You were great!

“Great for lunch on the weekend with a pet.”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

We were travelling with our small dog and found the Yacht Club great for lunch. We could sit at a table out on the grass with her, eat and watch the boats go by on the river.

“Wednesday Sunset Sail and Dinner”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

If you are in Port Douglas this is a wonderful opportunity to have a couple of hours sailing and enjoy a club dinner after. Members off to take you for a sail on the understanding you will pay for and have dinner at the club. It is a great way for the club to keep up its revenues and you meet new friends and a very pleasant menu. highly recommended.

“ Watch out for the midges ”
Reviewed July 18, 2014 via mobile

We had a lovely meal and relaxing evening and could not fault anything. Loved it. But the next day I came out in sandfly bites, despite aerogard and citronella all over me. We did sit on the grass though. Maybe next time we'll sit inside.
