I love Spinnakers Restaurant at PDYC. I first ate here in July 2010 when I was living in Port. The setting is beautiful on the water, but don't forget the bug spray the mosquitoes love Tropical FNQ.
The menu is basic but the food is fantastic. I have never had a bad meal. It is the only place in the world I will eat a chicken parmi. Steaks, fish, seafood, chicken parmi and all on the menu with chips and salad or ships and veg. There is also a specials board which is always good. You can't go wrong with Simon's curry. If the Vietnamese spring rolls are on there, they are a winner too. As you can probably guess, I struggle to decide what to eat when I visit Spinnakers as everything is so good.
I was back in Port for a 10 week holiday in November and Spinnakers was the place I ate on the first and last night (and 3 other night in between). The food is great and very reasonably priced. The PDYC is a great location and you can always just pop in for a drink and to enjoy the view. I recommend heading down on a Wednesday for WAGLS where you can go out sailing with the locals and then enjoy a meal with everyone from your boat and meet real locals and other tourists. It is a great night with raffles to support the PDYC, a very enjoyable evening.
