Went for meal here on one of the nights we stayed at peppers.
The food was pretty good. They didn't have the side dishes as per menu, but they accommodated and offered similar alternatives which were very nice. Service was good and food came out quickly.

The only complaint is the seating - I expected better seating than plastic chairs!!
Don't go for a special occasion, but a nice meal.

Thank RachMell

Our dining experience at sublime was a big let down. The food was average, atmosphere was nice but the staff were just terrible. They offered us drinks twice and forgot the order twice and when we finally received the order it was wrong.. We were asking the waitress questions in regard to menu items and she didn't know how to answer any of them so just sort of pointed at the menu and wandered off, the bar girl ended up taking our order when she brought us our drinks. For the price it's really not worth it spend your money elsewhere!

We've heard so much about the Peppers brand that we were expecting good things but the reality was average. Service was fine, menu choice did not grab us, wine list was nothing special. Scallop entree was good but the salad was special on a different level - only time I've ever been served avocado that was crunchy, it was inedible. Response from the kitchen was that it was the softest they had - says a lot about how the chef sets the menu. Mains were OK, but nothing special. Won't be returning, definitely better options around.

We had Lunch at the Sublime Bar and Grill which belongs to the Hotel.
The Wagu Burger was not really nice. The meat had no salt and pepper, the Bun was not toasted, the Fries were not hot and it was $19.
The scenery from the Restaurant is beautiful because you look onto the Lagoon Style pool with a Beach and Palm trees.
But be aware !!
The scenery is only nice when you dont have somebody's Feet next to your face just when your Food arrives.
There are 2 ledges where people can SIT on, but if you have a girl who thinks she can stretch out there in her Bikini and sun bath you will have her Feet next to your face less than 30 cm away. Bon Appetit.
We moved to another Table.
It was a very disappointing Lunch

Having befriended a couple staying at Peppers on the reef who rated the resort very highly we decided to stop in on our way past to check out the facilities.

We were directed downstairs to the restaurant and it had the most beautiful outlook over their gorgeous lagoon pool, we enquired about the menu and having had a quick read through its items booked for dinner that night.

Firstly the staff were fantastic. The restaurant manager took our booking, gave us a great run down on the menu, and the beverage options and secured the table I had been hoping for. He informed us he wouldn't be there that evening but his staff would ensure we had a great night.

We shared Scallops as our entree, I enjoyed the freshly home made Bay Bug Linguine and my wife enjoyed the whole baby Barramundi which were both fantastic. The suggested bottle of Chardonnay was reasonably priced and worked well for both of our mains.

We were really happy we came in for a look and got to enjoy the restaurant so much so we went in for a coffee the next afternoon to pass on our fabulous experience.

We're definitely booking at Peppers next time we have a holiday in Port Douglas!
