“A perfect way to celebrate our Golden Wedding”
Reviewed May 8, 2013

We had an amazing half day trip on Tallarook, a surprise treat from our daughter & family. Chris, the captain was very knowledgable & delightful company , as were Aleg and Rosie. My grandchildren and my son in law will never forget snorkeling and swimming with turtles. Those who preferred to stay on board were not left out, as Chris kept us entertained with his stories. My husband's day was made as Chris called out for "muscle" to raise the sails . Cake & biscuits were provided on boarding and a fresh fruit platter during our trip. Tallarook was a wonderful unforgettable experience for us all and we thoroughly recommend anyone to enjoy the same. Thankyou Chris, Aleg & Rosie.

“Good ol' sail boat for a dip to Low Isles.”
Reviewed May 5, 2013 via mobile

Pretty good actually.
Weather today was a tad overcast but we still enjoyed ourselves.

The way to Low Isles was a little choppy, so today I felt a tad nauseous. They did provide some travel relief tablets.

A TIP : standing up at the front of the boat makes you feel better when you are feeling nauseous.

They provided the equipment:
Snorkel, flippers, full cover stinger suits.

We saw a turtle!
As well as other marine life of course.

The turtle was very close. There were a variety of corals and fishes.

“An unforgettable experience”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

Thank you so much for a wonderful time on board Tallarook. We booked this trip as a Golden Wedding surprise for my parents visiting from the UK. The sailing boat is superb and makes a very pleasant change to the big operators who dominate the reef. The sailing experience alone was wonderful and the opportunity to help raise the sails made my dad's day! The added joy experienced by my husband and teenage sons when they swam alongside turtles was something they will never forget. Chris, Aleg and Rosie were more than helpful, making it a very personal trip out to Low Isles. Although it's stated as a BYO trip we were still offered cakes/biscuits on arrival and a beautiful fruit platter on the return trip. The pace set just by being on a sailing boat made the half day feel so much longer. An unforgettable experience enjoyed by all!

“Beautiful morning on a yacht”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

We had a lovely time on Tallarook in April 2013, it was our second time at barrier reef and we were not disappointed. The captain Chris was very knowledgeable and on the way to the reef he told us lots of stories and described what we were going to see in the sea. Boys had a little lesson on how to put the sail up and catch wind. We were offered snacks on the way there and delicious fresh fruits on the way back. We had a wonderful diving instructor Aleg, who was snorkelling with us and happy to show corals and fish that we would not have noticed by ourselves. It. Was a shame however that I wish we had more time in the sea, we were delayed a little by a family with young children. Understand that captain was responsible for our safety, but I wish he let the group of adult confident swimmers just wander by ourselves and not to wait for children to calm down. Other than that, it was a wonderful time, the sea was amazing, water clean, we saw lots and lots of fish and Aleg helped us to identify it, which was fun to do. And most importantly we were the only people there and did not need to fight for space. Do recommend the experience, you wouldn't be disappointed.

“Brilliant time”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

We had a fantastic time on the half-day trip! The crewmembers were great hosts, the boat was clean and spacious and the snorkelling was fantastic. A little more time in the water would have been great but we were very happy with what was offered. Highly recommended!
