The food was all fresh, and the chips were fantastic, but a large serve of chips (maybe 1 1/2 scoops) was $10, lucky they were nice or I would have been super cross.

We entered this Take Away and were taken aback by the large range of fresh fillets on display. They offered cooking methods of battered, crumbed and grilled. We chose our fish and a combination of crumbed and battered and then spotted something unusual on the menu being the mud crab patties so added one to our order and chips to finish off.

We were standing outside for 20 minutes but once we got back to our accommodation it had been well worth the wait. The fish was juicy and the chips crisp and not soggy and the mud crab pattie awesome!

One thing the owners could do is change the photo in the heading as it shows dim sims and rolls etc. and not the cabinet with all the fish.

We stopped here for a quick lunch one afternoon. What you see is what you get. The young woman who took the order and made the meal was very nice. The fish and chips were okay...a little bit too oily and greasy for our taste.

I grabbed a burger.
It was OK. nothing more.

The shop itself is filthy. The first thing you see is the brown grease running down the back of the range hood.

Staff were more interested in talking to their mates rather than serving customers.

Go back factor: Very low

Okay, so it's a little out of the way but in the end that was a bonus - it made us feel like locals who were 'in the know'! Ate from here twice on our recent holiday. Place was always buzzing. Very friendly service and lots of choices of fresh local seafood to either cook yourself at home or to take-away - which we did - to eat on nearby 4 mile beach.

The good sized portions of fish were cooked perfectly and the chips were amazing - don't know if was the oil they were cooked in or the shape - either way they were delish. Remember to take the salt sachets if you like a reasonable amount of salt as I'm not sure they put any on.
