If you are after fine dining then go elsewhere BUT if you are after a good honest meal at a reasonable price with the best outlook in Port Douglas then this is it! My husband and I called in for a quick lunch after visiting the markets on Sunday and stayed until 5pm. Luckily for us Ben Ford-Davies was entertaining at the time. His ability to engage the whole crowd and to provide perfect "easy to listen to" music goes very well with a few beers or bubbles!
The Tin Shed is a great place for any occasion including a morning latte. You can watch the cruise boats go out or come back in from this spot. Even though there was a decent crowd we didnt feel that we had to wait too long and our prawns were delicious!

Good view, but the food was average. That's not to say average is bad, but for the price you pay it was that.

Enjoyed a lovely evening on the deck with great food and service, well priced unlike a lot of over priced restaurants in Port Douglas

After waiting in line to order for 20 minutes our meals straggled out over 1 hour later. The spring rolls and calamari where dripping in old smelly oil and the spiced rice was just boiled rice with dried coriander sprinkled on top. The other meals we ordered were just ok. None of the wait staff asked if we enjoyed our meal maybe because they knew it was sub standard. Choose somewhere else to eat in Port Douglas

Time for a staff change - after frequenting this place over quite a few years I think the staff don't seem to care anymore. With their rude attitude they managed to spoil Mother's Day for 5 mothers, we had at able of 10. I have been in business for 40 years and it was pathetic, apart from their poor attitude they ran out of everything and no apologies were offered.
