Good mid priced dining experience! Entree was mushroom bruschetta & crumbed olives which were both good. The highlight however were the pastas for mains - we had spanner crab linguine which was a simple & classic dish with a generous proportion of sandcrab. The other dish we had was the de-constructed lasagne, which had a beautifully rich beef ragout, which made you want to lick the plate. By that stage we were too full to have dessert... Service was reasonable, although the restaurant gets very busy, & seems perhaps understaffed, with the Maitre d' also covering food service & seemed to be run off his feet. Definitely book in advance - we made a reservation, but they were still running behind despite this, & there was a substantial line up of other people waiting for a seat which I'm guessing didn't have reservations. Overall, flash Italian, fair value, our favourite food experience after spending 6 days in Port Douglas. Would definitely go back!
