Description: Harrisons Restaurant exists in a setting that is made for romance and fun. The colonial style house and colourful gardens create a wonderful atmosphere for cocktails, romantic dinners and celebratory events. Food is skillfully created using produce that is always fresh and preferrably local. Spencer Patrick, owner of Harrisons, has navigated Harrisons as an award winning restaurant since it's inception in 2007. Harrisons has consistently held national accolades for it's food and wine and stands alone as Port Douglas' only One Hat rated restaurant in the QLD Good Food Guide. Spencer's style draws from his training in classic French cuisine and love for all things English. His belief is that good food can be enjoyed any where in the world, but what better place to enjoy it than in Paradise!

“A bit pretentious”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2014

Our meals were good, though a bit "fussy", and the atmosphere interesting, but the service was inattentive and condescending, which spoilt the experience somewhat.
Harrison's seems to have quite a reputation in various circles, but it's not a patch on Nautilus.

“Best meal of our week at Port Douglas”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 11, 2014

Harrison's hasn't lost its edge since our last visit to Port Douglas. We had an excellent meal, complemented by friendly and diligent service. We had out two children (aged 10 and 13) with us and felt very welcome nevertheless.

Despite the relaxed environment, the food was every bit the fine dining experience in terms of quality, presentation, texture and taste. The menu was interesting and broad, and even the kids menu defied the usual "chips with everything" approach that we are mightily sick of.

The one thing you need to remember when dining in Port Douglas is to book well in advance so that you get the time and night you want and to bring insect repellant for your ankles, legs and feet.

“Impressed, and very satiated”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2014 via mobile

This was our 'posh' meal out for the holiday and it was excellent. We shared a slow cooked shoulder of lamb...mmmmm! A lot of fine dining goodness! Beautiful meal, charming waiter. Expensive but lovely.

“Disappointed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2014

I dined at Harrisons in March and had an 2 amaizing dishes scallop entrée and duck main and I really wanted to go back to have the same dishes. Recently I had the opportunity to dine there again, I checked the outside board to see if the scallop and duck were on the menu and they were so we took a table. when we got the menu it was different! The two dishes that I wanted weren't on the menu I was so disappointed and nothing really took my fancy. I ordered the pork dish- head to tail so I though there was going to me a good size. when I got the dish I was also disappointed with the small size and taste was average and it was an overpriced dish.

“Relaxed with fine food!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2014

Dinner at Harrison's was a highlight of our Port Douglas dining experience. Great food, relaxed but very attentive staff made for a great evening. The 14 hour cooked lamb for 2 was memorable.
