Description: Harrisons Restaurant exists in a setting that is made for romance and fun. The colonial style house and colourful gardens create a wonderful atmosphere for cocktails, romantic dinners and celebratory events. Food is skillfully created using produce that is always fresh and preferrably local. Spencer Patrick, owner of Harrisons, has navigated Harrisons as an award winning restaurant since it's inception in 2007. Harrisons has consistently held national accolades for it's food and wine and stands alone as Port Douglas' only One Hat rated restaurant in the QLD Good Food Guide. Spencer's style draws from his training in classic French cuisine and love for all things English. His belief is that good food can be enjoyed any where in the world, but what better place to enjoy it than in Paradise!

“Best Prime Rib in OZ!”
Reviewed May 18, 2014

A bit apprehensive when arrived but was put at ease immediately. Had fabulous entree's and we shared a great, wonderfully presented prime rib for two. Wine list is a bit pricey, but good. I suggest the Tempranillo. Nice ambiance. Definitely good place for a romantic evening whilst in Port Douglas.

Shared the lamb shoulder and a great bottle of wine. First class andbso much! Great bread starter and tasty fennel soup cleanser. If you don't have kids with you go here. Much better experience than salsas

“Fabulous dinner”
Reviewed May 18, 2014

My friend and I tried all of the Top 10 Trip Advisor restaurants and cafes. We rated Harrison's number 3 but still an exceptional dining experience. Port Douglas is spoilt for choice with exceptional restaurants for lunch and dinner. Harrison's is described as modern British cuisine (which initially made be hesitate to go!!! LOL) but we were both very pleasantly surprised with the very innovative menu. We loved our main meal selection but a little less so for the starters. The staff very kindly gave us B52 shots at the end which was a very nice finish to the evening. The staff were fantastic!!

“Overrated”
Reviewed May 15, 2014 via mobile

I had high expectations for this restaurant given the high reviews but was disappointed - the steak tartare main would have been nicer with the traditional egg yolk on top, the pork main was too tough and mash too oily. I didn't feel like dessert after that. Service was good and ambience was good. But overall not good value.

“Do they really want you????”
Reviewed May 14, 2014 via mobile

New into Port Douglas we walked past Harrison's and had a look at the lunch menu. Looked good. The blackboard stated lunch from 12:00- 2:30 PM. Went in and the waitress wandered over and said can she help? Asked for a table and she 'sorry but we close at 2:30'. It was 2:32. Ok..so the next day went there earlier - same board same time but we were there at 1:45!!! Same waitress...'sorry today we decided to close the kitchen early at 1:40.'
Ok I get it lol. You don't want us. I guess if you are a successful restaurant the lunch crowd are a little inconvenient . Maybe as a suggestion you should change your blackboard hours or forget lunch. The great thing was we went to silky oaks and that was mind blowingly good - so Harrison's kinda did us a favour.
