Description: Harrisons Restaurant exists in a setting that is made for romance and fun. The colonial style house and colourful gardens create a wonderful atmosphere for cocktails, romantic dinners and celebratory events. Food is skillfully created using produce that is always fresh and preferrably local. Spencer Patrick, owner of Harrisons, has navigated Harrisons as an award winning restaurant since it's inception in 2007. Harrisons has consistently held national accolades for it's food and wine and stands alone as Port Douglas' only One Hat rated restaurant in the QLD Good Food Guide. Spencer's style draws from his training in classic French cuisine and love for all things English. His belief is that good food can be enjoyed any where in the world, but what better place to enjoy it than in Paradise!

We had a great evening at Harrisons last Thursday. The whole experience was worth writing about, from the Service to the food. first of all a very small wedding party was celebrating nearby and had every ones attention, only because veryone wanted it, it wasnt intrusive and all patrons applauded and oohed and ahhed as the small reception (6) went on.
Our waitress for the evening was a delight, ex Germany and UK, she went on to tell us all about her own upcoming nuptials. She was wonderful. We ordered a shared dish of the 14 hour slow cooked lamb, with a sweet potato gratin and cucumber salad.
Drinks arrived promptly and the water glass was topped up regularly. Also out of nowhere arrived an appitiser and some fresh bread, this was a great touch as we had not ordered any starters.
Once the lamb arrived on the table the appetite was well and truly ready. What a wonderful meal. it just fell off the bone and along with the sauce it was very rich. The salad helped keep it fresh.
all in all a wonderful nights dining and it was easy to leave a well earned tip at the end of it.

So excited to find such a quality experience in a tourist town. From service, to décor, to music everything was considered, tasteful and top notch.
Not to mention the food. Used to spoiling myself at Sydney and Melbourne's finest restaurants, Harrison's did not disappoint - it shone. Amazing food, great produce, delicate as well as robust flavours. The duck salad would be on my 'death row' menu.
Loved it. Go there.

We sat at the front of the restaurant overlooking ANZAC park and the harbour, watched the sun go down - it was a great way to spend our wedding anniversary dinner. The food was amazing, interesting mix of fusion flavours, the service was also excellent. I ordered the duck and the chef came an explained the four different ways it had been cooked, he is obviously very passionate about the food he is serving.
Great place to come if you are looking for a special occasion dinner.

Whilst in port Douglas visited a couple of really nice restaurants, must say no comparison with palm cove P.D. is certainly far superior .
Harrison's was a French degustation, it was very rich, but, beautiful, the wait staff were great, they even recommended other restaurants for us to try, very generous albeit they were that confident they had the best food.it's not a restaurant that you would go to every week, but once in a while , would be great

We had an extremely good experience at Harrison's , we were warmly welcomed and shown to a lovely table on the veranda. Our party of 4 chose the small degastation with machining wines.
Food was wonderful and wines well thought out. They were also happy to change several wine choices I suggested.
Bill was also very reasonable for the quality of food and choice of wine , our original destination was salsa but we were quite rudely turned away being told that bookings were required well in advance if we wanted to fine there, turns out we were happy to miss out.
