Description: Harrisons Restaurant exists in a setting that is made for romance and fun. The colonial style house and colourful gardens create a wonderful atmosphere for cocktails, romantic dinners and celebratory events. Food is skillfully created using produce that is always fresh and preferrably local. Spencer Patrick, owner of Harrisons, has navigated Harrisons as an award winning restaurant since it's inception in 2007. Harrisons has consistently held national accolades for it's food and wine and stands alone as Port Douglas' only One Hat rated restaurant in the QLD Good Food Guide. Spencer's style draws from his training in classic French cuisine and love for all things English. His belief is that good food can be enjoyed any where in the world, but what better place to enjoy it than in Paradise!

“60th birthday dinner”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

We recently dined at Harrisons to celebrate my 60th. Had the Chateaubriand which was delicious. However very underwhelmed with chocolate fondant dessert. The inch high pudding was solid - no gooey fondant. Ice cream accompaniment was ordinary and not what we expected for the price!!

“Rush There!”
Reviewed August 11, 2013

Wharf Street has come along way in the last 10 years, and can now lay claim to being the food boulevard of Port Douglas.
Harrison's has helped a lot. Indoor and outdoor seating, perhaps more formal than other eateries in Port (though remember, "formal" and "Port Douglas" are not terms to be used in the same sentence unless with some level of satire.
We dined outdoor and loved it. Service was great and warmer than the Port average, and the food was delicious.
I shared the chateaubriand with my son - it could have fed three. Clearly the signature dish.
In a week at Port Douglas it could be argued that you simply work your way along Wharf Street for dinner. If you do, make sure that Harrison's is on your list.

“Too much”
Reviewed August 10, 2013

Set back from the street, amid a fairy grove of lights garlanding the trees, Harrison's has immediate appeal.

When we ate there on a balmy evening however, the chef was off his game.
The salmon mains was over salty. miso dominated the dish and flavours other than the fish
were emphasised.
It was perhaps 10% more costly than other comparable establishments, I didn't feel it delivered value.
However, I must recommend THe Chocolate Shot.
Pedro Ximinez with melted decadence in a glass!!

“Amazing Food”

Beautiful setting and amazing food. This is a MUST when in Port Douglas. Service did start out a little slowly but once we were seated, our waitress was lovely, accommodating and very knowledgeable.

“Good classic french food with a modern twist”
Reviewed August 6, 2013

I ate here with some friends and we were not disappointed. we had heard good things and decided to check it out. I had the Scallops and sweetbreads for entrée. This was amazing and I couldn't' get enough of it. I shared the Chateaubriand with a mate for main course. Beef was cooked to perfection and the Jus that went with it was silky. Great location and services was spot on. I would go back in a heartbeat.
