Great food, reasonable prices, service a little on the average compared to other Port Douglas eateries

“Mexican - mmmmm”

Food was a bit tasteless although sauces are available to spice things up if you wanted to. I've been to much better mexican restaurants.

“Gotta love a bit of spice & just good flavoured food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2012 via mobile

Just love the food & a couple of Dos Equis beers don't go astray either. The combo dip platter to start was brilliant & the meal just got better from there. If you want to try things, get them in the Entree size so you can try more things, the mains are quite large. It's open, there r no tablecloths, you sit basically on the footpath but its great. Hope you enjoy it

“Best Mexican Food - Make Reservation For Dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2012

Living in California I have grown used to good Mexican food and after 2 years in AU, I found great Mexican food. We ate there twice, could of eaten more, ran out of time. The nachos are not recommended unless you are 12 and under. If then they are hard to eat. Another reviewer explained how they are made. Aside from that everything else was wonderful. The price isn't that bad, but not cheap. We did lunch for 4 at about $60 and dinner at $120 which included mixed drinks. Two of us split a main meal for $27-30 we got 2 enchiladas, beans, and rice. You can also order a smaller portion for one. We also split a burrito with green salsa aka chili verde, we were in love with the sauce, no kidding. We also got poppers for dinner and they were great. Everything except the nachos was wonderful.
They don't open until 12 for lunch and they don't do lunch on Saturday. You need to make dinner reservations or you might not get in. You might be lucky if there are just two of you. It is always busy at dinner time and stays that way until closing.
Don't go in there at dinner starving, if you do order an appitizer. They are busy and food can take a bit, but it is worth it. I don't mind waiting since they are so busy and the service is great. They are busy, so if you need anything just quickly grab one of the staff and they will get you what you need. If you like Mexican food, go give this a try.

“Nice Mexican food”

Kids really enjoyed their food. I thought mine was a little basic for the price (still cheaper than most other restaurants in the Port!), but I could have spiced it up with their fantastic supply of dozens of different sauces.
