The coffee was terrible. Only taste was from choc powder on cappuccino. Vanilla slice, no taste at all. Two of us tasted it. Very disappointed. Owner needs to wake up and taste, ask clients how it was I stress of avoiding eye contact. Felt sorry for staff who have to listen to complaints. Lovely girls let down by cost cutting owner. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

I ventured here to acquire some Ice Cream, food and Reef shoes, somehow they managed to fulfill all of these desires even though the shopping complex is tiny! The timezone area was grouse, Kmart did its job and the food court had some pretty good selection of foods, quite a few of which appeared to sell the exact same Asian cuisine in the same container (helps narrow my choice down). All in all a shopping complex that does its job and has enough of what it needs in a country town.

Located at the end of Shields Street, basically, it’s a local shopping centre where you can buy your groceries, do your banking, get your hair done, have a bite to eat, use their free wi-fi and check out some of the retail stores in air-conditioned comfort. Although it’s on 2 levels, it’s not big but adequate.

Cairns Central Shopping Centre is only a 10 minute walk from the main tourist area around the Boardwalk. It is set out over two levels with a range of the usual Australian shops and specialty shops. They have Coles and Myer, an Event Cinema (with V-Max), KFC, McDonalds, Donut shops and a good seating area in the food court. It looks clean and tidy and is very close to the Cairns Train Station. Buses come and go from the back of the centre.

This shopping centre has the usual Australian retail outlets you find everywhere, but also some quirky little shops as a bookshop, a shoe shop and a few more. Very good is the large number of toilet facilities they have which are clean and well designed. I did not inspect the male facilities though.
