We took the later departure which got us to the island just before lunch, and gave us time to do the glass bottom boat and the submarine trips, before departure at 4pm. We paid for the buffet lunch on board the Big Cat, but frankly it was not pleasant. The range of food was limited, tho fresh. It was vey crowded. The seating area is not really suitable for mass dining. Better to get food at one of the outlets on the island which are open while tourists are there. When booking you are offered a choice of snorkelling or glass bottom boat. If you chose snorkelling be warned. The tide can go out. We watched snorkellers making their way back to shore over what was now dry land, over rocks, wearing flippers. Not easy. The submarine went a way out from the wharf, and we did see live coral, and schools of fish. Not so for the glass bottom. Just a lot of sea grass and dead staghorn branches. All a bit no hum at $265 AUD for two.
