$50 AUD for a twin private which includes ensuite bathroom, small fridge, hot water maker (with coffee and tea), private balcony with chairs and table, small tv. Has air conditioning and overhead ceiling fan.
Pros: Nice landscaping, good tv room, nice lagoon type pool. Communal kitchen. 5% discount on all day tours booked through them. Always willing to call cab for you. Office hours until 8 PM.
Cons: Wifi is expensive!! And internet on their computers is Global Gossip (so you have to pay). Kind of far (as in you have to take a 10 minute bus ride to city central). Would recommend having own car or not minding waiting a while for bus or paying for taxi (about $10.80 from city central to Bohemia Resort). Communal kitchen doesn't have communal fridge, must use room fridge.
Overall good for families, young people travelling together who don't want to be at a party hostel/hotel place, people with own cars, etc. Wouldn't recommend if you are a solo traveller (not able to meet people and no action).

We know it is a backpacker hostel and not a resort with their rates. Even with that expectation, this is one experience that SUCKS big time. We expect zero frills, just decent bunk beds/linen in a aircon room to shield from tropic humidity, with the typical ozie cleanliness. The whole place is tiled and is cleansed by swiping (not mopping) with strong chlorine. There are bugs and small roaches in the room, even found one running in my bag of bread overnite. The aircon and fan could have whipped up the dry residue of multiple layers of chlorine, 'cos my son was coughing the entire nite until we turned them off. Eventually we pull our beds next to the balcony sliding doors for ventilation. Limited parking in premises, so may have to fyo roadside parking outside.
The only positive thing is the powerful shower head provides good relief from the humid and dodgy environment. Could wait to get out of there.

This is NOT a resort. I booked through hotels.com and asked for self-contained family room. Hotels.com booked a room which had one double bed & a single bed. Air conditioning not working. The room was a dungeon and very substandard. I asked for a refund & hotels.com are telling me that the hotel is refusing to do this because I checked-in. We left our daughter with our luggage in the room for one hour and found alternative accomodation at Best Western which was excellent. Because I checked-in briefly I am not getting a refund. How was I supposed to know what the room looked like? I trusted their advertising & their booking agents. I shouldn't have!
Be warned. The facilties are substandard. Linen was dirty. BOOK ELSEWHERE.

Room Tip: False advertising. BOOK ELSEWHERE. The booking agents don't know what they are selling over the...

Ok, seriosuly I have no idea why they have resort in the name and I found the pictures on the web site to be slightly misleading but for a backpackers I wasn't complaining too much.

Pros:
It's $13/day if you stay min. 7 days and you often get your own room.
There are only 4 beds in the room.
Shower heads were big and had nice presssure.
A/C ran with no problems.

Cons:
Kitchen was locked at 9pm. Totally sucked.
Common area was locked at 11pm. Also totally sucked. But there is a hidden picnic table that you can hang at still.
A lot of times soap dispensers were empty.
You have to put a $10 refundable deposit down for plates and cutlery.
Water slide was broken, but hey who was expecting a water slide at their hostel?

Overall, this place was comfortable and the staff was pretty cool. I thought the place was clean, sometimes it could have been cleaner but the had to do with the people staying there not picking up after themselves.

Room Tip: I heard room 37 was the best.

There was not one single thing i enjoyed about the 'resort'. It would have been more plesent staying in a dungeon. the room was dirty dank and very unpleasent, reminding me alot of a prison. The halls were dirty, the showers were smelly and unclean and overall the whole 'resort' was untidy. and topped off with being insulted upon my arrival i would have to say that this was the worst experience of my life. i would not recommend bohemia resort to anyone.

Paid $20 for the night and lets say I've been to a lot of cleaner backpackers for $12. And this is supposed to be a resort. The potential is there, but it's not well maintained at all. Spider webs in the bunks, "come" stains in the sheeting, and not permitted sleeping bags (which I just find rude). Staff aren't that pleasant. Cockroaches and pests in the "families room" and kitchen. Lots of ants in bedroom, car park, etc. Other patrons are sleazy (and im a guy!), basins in room are too small to even fill a 600ml bottle of water, and any water access is in the kitchen which is locked after 10pm, but I guess they have no control over the types of people that stay here. The AC worked at least and the pool was half decent. Showers were fairly filthy. Walls were clean but the floor was stained with dirt. And the shower heads were blocked up. Pressure was consistent though. Toliets stank terribly on each floor (like drop dunnies!) Overall, dissapointed, and looking forward to check-out. Lets just hope it doesn't get any worse. Would NOT recommend. I only came here because everywhere else in town was completely booked out. Would recommend traveling out of town a bit and go to the Cairns Coconut Resort. Value for money. And MUCH more resort like as they're title says. I thought it was worthy of less than 1 star.
