Good location, 10 minute drive from airport. About 20-25 minute walk to the city center/ pier/ Cairns central/ big Woolworths. Grocery shops, Pizza Hut and Domino's Pizza all are nearby.
Booked a deluxe, two bedroom apartment for our first visit to Cairns. Spacious, well organised, apartment, full kitchen and washing machine with dryer, fridge/freezer, tea-coffee making facilities, TV with sports channels. Table and chairs. A small garden outside-not exclusive. No dishwasher.
Excellent air conditioning as well as ceiling fans.
Rooms are not sound proof. Noise from above and from side rooms can be disturbing. Did not use in house catering service.
Helpful and polite staff. Spent under £100 per night for accommodation for 4 people. Brilliant.
Overall happy, good value for money.
Would use again.

We booked into this room after looking at a room 110 a few days earlier and were told we should be able to have that room. When we arrived we were given room 114 - it appeared to be a very similar room, but it was at the end of a tiled hallway. To get to reception everyone had to drag their suitcase past our room, this started at about 6.30am and by 7am there were children running up and down the hallway. The room was dark and gloomy and although they weren't dirty, they didn't have that clean feel. The deck was grubby and the view in this room was of the edge of the neighbours garden and a carport. Room 110 would have been quieter because it was not in the main thoroughfare and the view from the balcony was it's own private garden with the lawn in the background.

Room Tip: I felt this accommodation was very overpriced and it would probably be best just to steer clear.

This is our preferred hotel when we stay in Cairns due to the sheer size of the room, the convenience of the Restaurant for Breakfast and it's cleanliness. All this for very reasonable prices, it's getting harder and harder to get a room these days tho, so I think the secrets out!

Room Tip: We always stay in a room by the pool, it's big and spacious and surprisingly not too much noise...

Recently stayed for 5 nights for $600 including continental breakfast for two. Room was exactly as booked. Large, clean, well appointed. Used the restaurant for several nights & found the service excellent. Meals were superb & at $30 or less for a main l thought equal to anywhere in town. A 20 minute walk into town wasn't a problem and did it daily. Nice stroll along the esplanade. I would definitely return to this Motel.

Nothing like the pictures on the internet. Arrived to find out the rooms I had booked was not what we were getting. We got dirty, mouldy, (even in winter!),The bunk ladder was broken and unsafe, there was no extraction fan for cooking and no extraction fan in the bathroom which included the toilet! so steamy and smelly ew!
There was no cloth to wipe the bench, 1/4 roll toilet paper for 4 and not refilled, smallest cake of handsoap for basin and shower and not refilled. Bench top shelf was very wobbly and things fell off. Lounge chairs very old, no support and you sank in them and ended up with back ache. All fell on deaf ears!

Not sure how they got the star rating advertised but no stars from me!

Room Tip: Look Elsewhere!

We had a lovely stay here... We stayed 4 nights and the room was very clean and exactly how the pictures looked on the website! The food in the restaurant was fantastic as we ate here every night because my boyfriend was on crutches so couldn't go elsewhere. The staff were excellent especially the blonde girl from Sweden!! The only thing which really let the restaurant down was the chef who we could hear every night shout at the waitresses over silly things. We asked for more balsamic vinegar and could hear him shout at the waitress refusing to give us more saying he had already given us enough on our salad!! He looked angry and as though he really did not want to be there which was a shame as the food was lovely, but he was very distracting when we were trying to enjoy an evening out. Other than the chef - the hotel was clean, the staff were helpful and the room was very good for the money! (Wifi is expensive though!)

We booked into the hotel for 4 nights and decided to pay a little extra for the 'deluxe' room. We were very disappointed by a terrible view (side of a building), a king size bed that was actually two singles put together (nice big ridge down the middle!), a 'monsoon' shower which was actually just a large shower head in a tiny shower, and a severe lack of power points in appropriate places. The bathroom was tiny and the extractor fan was inadequate plus the drainage for shower was also too small making it feel like the bathroom was going to flood. The good thing was that there was plenty to do in Cairns so we avoided going back to the room as much as possible. I feel like we were totally misled by false advertising and completely overcharged!
