Excellent sized room with most comfortable bed of any hotel used on tour of Australia. Laundry facilities available which were needed after 3 weeks away from home. staff extremely friendly and very helpful.

Located a good walk from city center, but only a couple of minutes away from the esplanade.

Ideal touring location for a visit to the Great Barrier Reef and Atherton Table mountains.

Did not sample food in hotel, however good selection of take aways close by and a good pub selling "large" portion meals within 10 minutes walking distance.

Would have liked a longer stay at this hotel.

Enjoyed a lovely 3 night stay in a hibiscus 1 bedroom apartment. The complex benefits from 24 hour reception desk, useful because our flight meant we arrived just before midnight. In a great location, walking distance from the esplanade and harbour. The apartment was a great size, clean and well appointed. The pool was a welcome respite from the Cairns heat. We had a great stay, felt the apartment was great value for money, and would stay there again, if we go back to Cairns.

We enjoyed our time here, staff provide excellent friendly service. Bedrooms & bathroom are small, noisy aircon outside but for the price and service it's definately worth the stay. I'll be back! Thank you

We stayed in the hibiscus 2 bedroom apartment and felt we were very much the poor citizens to the rest of the building which appears to have been refurbished. Whilst the apartment was spacious, the beds were comfortable and sheets and towels new and clean, the property had terrible florescent strip lighting through out, no bedside lamps, tatty outdoor furniture, rubbish on garden by the terrace. It felt very uncared for. The worst thing of all were the school classroom type slatted metalic blinds in the bedrooms. The main bedroom looked onto the stair well and all the light came into the room as you couldn't close the blinds properly. After a sleepless first night and several requests to move they finally gave us some black plastic bin bags and sellotape to stick over the windows, it worked but made the room even less attractive! The reception staff were not generally very helpful, though the third person we spoke to, who wasn't Australian, did apologise and say that the blinds needed looking at. The kitchen equipment and crockery was also very tatty and well past its sell by date.
