The service was certainly what stood out at this hotel. Despite a low price tag, service was not sacrificed, as low cost hotels seem to find it unnecessary to greet guests warmly, and offer a "nothing is too much problem" attitude. From the some of the upper floors, there is a nice view out over the ocean (a couple of blocks back from the esplanade, but a nice view for the price). Be warned though, you will be going out for dinner (no nighttime restuarant), however a decent buffet breakfast is available. Recommend a bed and breakfast package that will set you back about $104-$120 per night. The rooms are okay, nothing flash, but comfortable and clean - free upgrades for Accor members I think, too. I should renew my membership before my next trip.

Our other hotel options (The Outrigger and Holiday Inn) were sold out so we booked the All Seasons. The Executive suite was big enough for the three of us and it had a small refrigerator and microwave. Other family traveling with us stayed in the 2 bedroom villa ~ their room included a stove/oven. Ask for an end villa which has more natural light. The size of the rooms was a great value for the price paid.

Bufett Breakfast was included with our package and it was a good start to our days. Get there early though or else the scrambled eggs get a little cold and hard.

Complaints: not enough linen provided upon arrival. Both parties had to ask for additional towels and we had to ask for sheets for the pull out sofa bed for our daughter. The staff was very friendly and helpful though and this issue was fixed right away.

It was about a 15 minute walk into the center of Cairns which wasn't a problem for us. If we stayed in Cairns again, I would consider a return stay at the All Seasons Sunshine Tower.

I stayed here for a week, the hotel is a good budget option. The property is reasonably close to the centre of Cairns and Nightlife etc. If you were to stay at this property for more than 1 or 2 nights I would suggest you request a room on one of the first two floors as the upper floors do not have a balcony. When I visit Cairns again I will definitely book a hotel room with a balcony. The staff at this property were extreamly friendly and the property was certainly well maintained and very clean. The general decor was however a little tired. A solid choice if you can obtain a good discounted rate, I would not pay a lot of money to stay here as there are many other options close by.

This hotel was not my top choice, but we stayed in Cairns on a Friday and Saturday night, and many of the hotels I chose were fully booked already.

We had a reservation for a Queen room, but when we checked in late Friday night, we got to our room and it had not been cleaned or serviced since the last guests. When we got back to reception we were told that there were no other Queen rooms left, so we took a Triple (twins) room with no offer of a lower rate or any other compensation from Reception. It was close to midnight and I was too tired to complain or argue.

The room we ended up with had old furnishings, but the room was clean overall. There was a little bit of mold in the bathroom, but this is common in a tropical area. The room faced the pool area so it was quiet, although the other side of the hotel faces a busy highway, and I would expect that street noise would be quite loud.

This hotel is about 1 km from the core city area, so it took us a good 15-minute walk to dinner. No good restaurants were in the immediate vicinity, although we ate the buffet breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was worthwhile. The hotel is also 4 blocks from the ocean, so unless you are on one of the very top floors, you will not have an ocean view, so do not count on that as a major draw to the hotel.

If I were in Cairns again, I would not stay here again. There are hotels that were closer to the city center, and were the same price or lower, but were sold out for the dates I was there.

This is a good hotel - clean and tidy. The room we were in was a suite with an ocean view. You could pay double the amount we did for a similar view in Cairns. Some of the furniture looked a bit old and tired. The staff were excellent, especially the reception staff who could not do enough to help you out.

If you are looking for 5 star luxury, then maybe this is not the place for you, but if you are looking for a comfortable hotel which is located close to everything in Cairns, it is well worth a look.
