“Lovely regional art gallery”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

What a lovely gallery, beautifully presented, with great staff and some fine art work. If you have a spare hour or so or it is a rainy day then grab a bite at the café and take a spin around the gallery. We thoroughly enjoyed their choice of works on display in June. Will definitely visit again as the exhibitions change.

“Loved the Philip Wolfhagen Expo!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

I dropped by on Community Day, well timed as free entry! I loved the exhibition by Tasmanian Artist Philip Wolfhagen, wonderful landscapes, such talent.
On the ground floor some very interesting indigenous art and the loft help works by Anna Eglitis and Ivy Zappala, both well displayed and informative.

“Smaller than i thought”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2014

An excellent show of work both from the Cairns region and other areas of Australia. There are 3 main exhibition spaces and although smaller than i thought it may be i was impressed with the quality of work on display. The gift shop also had a good selection of creative gifts and souvenirs.

“Certainly worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2014

The gallery is a very good place to escape the hustle and bustle of Cairns and spend an enjoyable couple house browsing the exhibits. The rooms are spacious and well laid out the quality of the works on display were of very engaging. We found the works of Phillip Wolfhagen particularly interesting, especially his works using beeswax.
