Muddy's playground is themed "Life in Trinity Bay" and the playground includes water play areas plus a flying fox, sound chimes, track ride, rope bridge, slides, play houses, story telling areas, see-saw, trick track and puzzle games. Please note that the disabled-use Liberty Swing uses the MLAK national keying system. For access please ask at Muddy's cafe. Muddy's has two toilet facilities one at the north end of Muddy's near the cafe and one at the southern end of Muddy's. Muddy's has barbecues, picnic tables and an on-site cafe.

“Excellent free fun for children and relaxing for Mums.”

Excellent free fun for children and relaxing for Mums. I take my kids there frequently, and it is nice getting a cappachino and watching the kids use up their energy, ensuring a good sleep that night.

“Fun playground for the kids”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

We took our daughter here at the end of a day of walking/touring Cairns itself. She absolutely loved all the different parts to the playground, but especially the water features.

What a lovely way to end a day - and cool off! Fab little coffee shop close to the play area - so even the grown ups were happy!

“Great water park for kids”
Reviewed November 18, 2012

Took the grandkids to this park for an afternoon cool-off and they just had the best time ever. Even when it started to rain it didn't make a difference because they were wet already. Also there is beach area so take bucket and spade to make sandcastles.

There are plenty of picnic tables, pergolas and BBQs to use and this is the best option because the nearyby Cafe is over-priced and the service is not so great when it is really busy, so take your own lunch and drinks.

“Great for little ones”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

Our 19mth old loved both the water area and play area specifically designed toddlers - having multiple areas for different ages is great. We went late in the afternoon. It wasn't too busy and we missed the lunchtime sun.

“Great for using up energy”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

Muddy's playground has several different sections. There's climbing frames, forts, a flying fox, water fountains, a giant fish and swings. There is a separated section for the littlies. There are lots of benches and seat height walls for the grown ups to watch from. The setting is beautiful, right beside the boardwalk and in the shade of some lovely old trees. The cafe is conveniently within sight of the playground equipment and serves good coffee. A great place to use up some energy before boarding a plane.
