This takes you to an amazing river, lots of rocks, raging water... Lots of actions and flipping overs. But the great value here not only about the attraction but also the services and the guide. They included everything, from pick up at the hostel, safety instruction and relaxed lunch. The attraction seem very scary but, the staffs provides tremendous patient in delivering safety procedures without intercepting the whole trip experiences, giving me the best time on the Tully river. I am looking forward to try out the extreme option available.

The Tully River rafting with Raging Thunder was amazing!

They picked us up from our accommodation and took us to the river - with a stop for breakfast too.

Our guide Tom knew everything about the river, not only to do with rafting but also wildlife and the surroundings. He made the day so much fun! He controlled the raft so well through the rapids and kept us safe - but also pushing us in at one point where we were 'supposed' to fall in.

They told us that we didn't need to be able to swim - and you didn't, if you had common sense! Your life jacket kept you afloat! But those that weren't listening to the instructors got dragged downstream too quickly and were tumbling down the rocks!

The water was so amazing and refreshing too, when it was 32 degrees outside!

Lunch was also pretty good - though the toilets were shocking, but this is what you expect!

Other people that we talked to in town did the 'extreme' version, which was apparently even better! Such an amazing day, I'd recommend it to anybody! Special thanks to Tom for being such a great guide!

This tour was so much fun. We were upgraded to the extreme option and it was well worth it!
This meant that there was more swimming in rapids, jumping from cliffs and trees etc., flipping the boat.
And with a smaller tour group also.

The Tully River was stunning! The water was so refreshing and we were even able to swim directly under a waterfall just before having lunch on the waters edge. The staff were so friendly and welcoming too. They really helped us feel like a team and made the whole day more enjoyable. Lots of laughs and cheering each other on.

BIG BIG THUMBS UP. We were very happy and highly recommend!

Myself and my partner jumped on this last minute, best decision ever!

We went for the Tully river, the non-extreme one. We heard the Barron river was a little boring so avoid that.

Got picked up on a fancy coach from our hotel door which was great and then slept most of the way there. Chris, the MC on the coach was good fun as he went through all the safety stuff.

Minutes after we arrived we we're kitted up, split into a team of 6 and jumped into a raft.

I can't explain the rapids because you need to experience them but they've all the thrill of a roller coast and a scary movie combined... AND THEN SOME!!

Between each rapid our friendly tour guide, Grant, was full of chat and info about the history of the river which was an added bonus.

We had a delicious BBQ half way through but bring bug spray because those fly things are everywhere! Wear light clothes, ideally jogging gear which will dry quickly, avoid heavy cotton.

Obviously bring everything they say on the site too, towel, suncream, change of chothes.

Had a ball! Highly recommended! :)
