We chose to return to Cairns from Kuranda using the Skyrail, a great way to see the rainforest canopy. Dangling high above the rainforest, and with a light rainfall all along the way, we were overawed by the sheer majesty of the dense forest, from what is a most unusual angle. The light and shade changed from moment to moment, and the picture from above was almost looking back into a primitive time long ago. The only thing missing were dinasosurs! A rain mist covered Red Peak on our approach, but magically as is the way, it cleared to allow us a wonderful view. Descending down to Cairns Raiway station ended what for us was one of the many highlights of visiting North Queensland.
