“Dangling high above..........”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

We chose to return to Cairns from Kuranda using the Skyrail, a great way to see the rainforest canopy. Dangling high above the rainforest, and with a light rainfall all along the way, we were overawed by the sheer majesty of the dense forest, from what is a most unusual angle. The light and shade changed from moment to moment, and the picture from above was almost looking back into a primitive time long ago. The only thing missing were dinasosurs! A rain mist covered Red Peak on our approach, but magically as is the way, it cleared to allow us a wonderful view. Descending down to Cairns Raiway station ended what for us was one of the many highlights of visiting North Queensland.

“A Top Day.”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

Loved the skyrail , get off along the way and enjoy the forest walk. The train going up is fun. And we found lost of different shops and galleries in Kuranda. Have lunch in one of the cafes. Also the butterfly place is worth a look.

“great if you're under 12 or over 60 years old”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

if you're in your late 20's or middle-aged without kids, don't bother paying the $100 to do this. It really isn't worth a day trip out unless you have nothing else to do.

“Skyrail whispering in the tree tops”
Reviewed June 18, 2013

Wonderful views, excellent facilities, clean, tidy, well run and real value for money. It is a must do. We were a bit late in the day getting to Kuranda to set off but decided to drive back to do the markets later in the week which were worth doing as the laid back atmosphere was very enjoyable.

“Forest and mountains”
Reviewed June 15, 2013

Not sure what the Coach is but if it means the Railway there is a review elsewhere. The Skyrail is a great way to get back from Kuranda. You see the tops of the forest and mountains but have to get off twice to see the really good views. Not as good as the Train but well worth doing.
