“Soaked and cheerful”
Reviewed July 21, 2013

Foaming fury took us down the Barron River in an inflatable raft and it was a hoot. We set off from lake Placid having met the crew there; they were pumped and enthusiastic and the bus rattled with energizing rock and roll. The guys paid a lot of attention to safety; briefings and just little stuff like participants not standing on the road. The kind o thing that made you feel they were watching out.

After paddle around a pool to get us working us a team we went over the first rapid losing one guy over the side; helped a lot actually as he needed a bath I thought and then zipped our way through what were graded as class 3 rapids although with the flow that day felt a bit more class 2. There were some big drops and funnels which were fine and quite a few water fights. Unfortunately we couldn't swim at the end; some nervousness about crocodiles in lake placid it but we wound up wet and happy.

“Well worth the trip”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

Loved this trip. Even though my daughter lost her sunnies it was a great trip out. It is a good hours drive each way so be aware of that, but the country side is lovely hilly and green and if you haven't seen around Cairns before it's a bonus. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and the only thing that could have been improved were the 'snacks' ... Museli bars and poppa juices aren't my thing (plus i was on a detox and sugar free)...

“A Day Trip to Remember”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

I took the day trip to Cape Tribulation, Daintree River, & Mossman Gorge with Active Tropical Explorer. ( you really need to have a comments setup under this name as i had a hard job finding you). Our bus driver and guide Lisa and under training Ben were excellent, informative and friendly. Made for a happy enjoyable day. Cape Trib was beautiful, the lunch at PK's village was lovely and good value. The river cruise to check out the crocs was great, very scenic and interesting guide on the boat. We did see scarface and another smaller croc. The Daintree Tea we were given before boarding was yummy, bought 3 pkts to bring home. Mossman Gorge was special, we were given a lesson on aboriginal culture, then a trip taken into the scenic gorge. On the way back we had a couple of photo stops, where i got some great cloud pictures. Great day, good value for money. Would highly recommend this company. Thank you from Kate :)

“Best day in cairns”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

Took a rainforest tour with this company. Highly recommend them. We saw crocodiles in the morning on a boat ride walked the rainforest then had lunch got some ice cream and went to visit an aboriginal community.
Only downside was there was quite a bit of been driven around but our guide 'puddy' kept us entertained with great info and lots of funny stories. Great day trip but overnight trip would have been better just to break up the driving.

“Bella Babes take on Foaming Fury!”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

Thanks to our guide, Luke and 'those other two'. Group of 6 'mums on the run' we decided to try whitewater rafting and lucky Luke, got us. Had an absolute ball and all the guides were great fun to raft with. We had NO previous experience but none needed as guides are very helpful. Recommend this for anyone wanting to have plenty of laughs!!
