Owner description: Alongside Cairns is a magnificent tidal estuary that is rarely seen, except by fishermen. Only accessible by boat, M.V. Crocodile Explorer is a comfortable, air-conditioned vessel taking small numbers of visitors along Trinity Inlet on this scenic nature cruise. With waterways winding through a 300 square kilometre maze of mangroves, expect rich diverse wildlife, stunning scenery and a relaxing cruise with informative commentary from our crew. This is the saltwater crocodile’s natural habitat – with a chance to spot them basking on the muddy banks particularly in the cooler months. Cairns Harbour Cruises depart daily at 11.00am and 1.30pm for a 2 hour cruise. We also offer an evening cruise departing at 5.30pm daily.Picture yourself drinking sparkling wine while watching the tropical sunset from Trinity Inlet. A sunset cruise aboard the MV Crocodile Explorer sets the tone for an unforgettable evening. As our friendly crew greet you on board you will be offered a welcome drink to enjoy on deck prior to departure. The Sunset Cruise allows passengers to soak in beautiful views of the waterways, mangroves and mountains in the magical early evening sun. The 90 minute cruise includes a sparkling wine, standard beer, wine or soft drink and savoury nibbles on arrival.

“A wonderful way to get to know the Trinity Inlet”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 25, 2012

The 2-hour cruise was well-organized with very well-versed and helpful crew. Complimentary morning tea and snacks were provided. Sadly we didn't get to see any crocodiles due to the high-tide at the time, but learnt a lot about them anyway.

“Nice”

This is a great way to spend a couple of hours. See Cairns from a different point of view. The weather on the day that we went was cloudy and light rain and it did not spoil the trip.

“Harbour Cruise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2012

Did a morning harbour cruise. Very relaxing and peaceful way to view part of Cairns. Good morning tea and commentary from the crew. Unfortunately for us, all crocs were on holidays ! easy to book cruise over the phone, well located, we wandered along the Esplanade afterwards.

“Barrier Reef visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2012

We took a cruise from Cairns to Green Island and it was wonderful to see one of the seven wonders of the world face on. Feeding fish from a glass bottomed boat this followed by a walk around Green Island, topped by seeing sea life underwater. A must when in OZ

“Nice afternoon cruise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 1, 2012

Great scenery, live croc's on the mud banks, and a great ecology and biology lesson. Also, lots of birds including a Hornbill! Wonderful views of the city and a brief history of the city as a port.
