We stay at the hotel with a stunning comfortable apartment with two bedrooms and showers for 5 days. The host,David, was a great source of information and assistance. We had gorgeous views of the river and ship terminal and could walk to anywhere in five to ten minutes. Cooking facilities were great and made going out to dinner a difficult choice. Me and my husband traveled here for our one year anniversary. We booked a one bedroom apartment with a balcony. When we arrived the size of the room surpassed any expectations. It was huge! Full kitchen, dining area and nice sized living room. Bedroom and attached bathroom were very spacious as well. The balcony looked directly over the water and again was a very nice size. Easily could fit 10-12 people out there. The best part though was the staff. They were so accommodating and friendly and actually helped plan all of our excursions. Would highly recommend this place. We didn't want to leave!
I recently stayed 4 nights at the Jack and Newell apartments with a mate to compete in the Cairns Ironman. The 2 bedroom apartment was very clean, spacious with a large balcony overlooking the harbour, mountains and rainforest beyond. We used the well equipped kitchen to cook meals and found a number of coffee shops and restaurants close by as well. Thanks to David for a great stay and we particularly liked the triathlon funny stories and jokes which were displayed each morning in the lift. Would definitely recommend to all and would love to stay again if I'm ever back up in Cairns.
We recently spent 6 days at the Jack and Newell Cairns and had a wonderful time. We travelled with our 3 kids and the apartments were perfect for our stay. They are spacious and modern and very well equipped. Perfect location within walking distance of parks, restaurants and the lagoon which was great as we didn't use a hire car. The manager David was fantastic and so very helpful with anything we needed and gave us lots of tips for activities and restaurants etc. We were also upgraded for free from a 2 to a 3 bedroom apartment to accommodate our kids which was fantastic and most appreciated. We were sad to leave and would definitely recommend the apartments to anyone looking for great holiday accommodation!
the apartments were very spacious and beautifully decorated. The view from the balcony was awesome!! The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us. We will definitely be going back!!

We recently spent 4 days at Jack and Newell Cairns Holiday Apartments. This unit was perfect! It had a great view, the beds were comfortable, it had everything we needed for a nice comfortable stay. David and Joelette made us feel very welcome, even inviting us to an owners get together/pot luck. Everyone we met was helpful and friendly.
The location was ideal. We walked to the restaurants and shopping in town, and had a rental car for our out of town excursions. The on-site pool was nice and relaxing.
David and Joelette were like personal concierges. Before we arrived, they asked what we wanted to do while in town, and offered suggestions concerning tour companies, the order of activities, etc. They then made our bookings for us before we arrived, and because they are locals, they got us discounts below the advertised prices for some of the activities.
David and Joelette are very personable. David especially has a great, understated sense of humor.
This accommodation and trip couldn't have been better.
