“Disappointing service”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

We arrived to see the cows go up for the mornings milking, walked in the door and told the Cheese section was not operating today but we could watch a TV, we went to the viewing room and the TV was on and there was no commentary. We felt like we where in the silent movies. When we went back up to watch the young girl make Chocolates again no Commentary, one of the staff member went up to my husband and spoke rather rudely to him so that was it for me, no spending here. I refuse to spend when staff are rude and unfriendly

“Lunch good, cheeses yummy and chocolates galore”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

While staying in Cairns for a short holiday we rented a car and on our travels visited Gallo Dairyland. Breakfast, lunch, dining area is clean and open with nice views over the paddocks were the cows eat there lush grass in preparation of a great assortment of cheeses. The lunch we had was great and very tasty and reasonably priced, special recommendation is the iced chocolate...make sure you give it a go. There is a big variety of hand made chocolates to buy and take home as well as the cheeses. Unfortunately on the day we were there the cheese factory wasn't working so there was not much to see, instead there was a DVD playing explaining all the stages from the paddock to the plate.
While driving around this is worthwhile to go and see and stop to have lunch or just a cup of coffee (or iced chocolate).

“Great spot for a coffee”
Reviewed January 18, 2013

Great find while exploring the Tablelands. The coffee and snacks are homemade and a nice spot to stop for morning or afternoon tea. The icecream was nice, though the chocolate was a little disappointing. We were there to view the milking of the cows at 3pm and it was very interesting to watch the process.

“Delicious food and Views”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

We enjoyed visiting Gallo in the Tablelands. The dairy has a fantastic range of cheeses and chocolates, yoghurt and ice cream. Made fresh. Great spacious air-conditioned area for enjoying a meal. We chose quiche with salad and homemade iced-coffee!! very nice the fresh cream was soooo good. Would have really like to have tried a cheese platter - next time...the dairy is approximately a 10 minute drive off the main road and sealed. Beautiful scenery. animals - cows, chickens, ducks, there is a walk through petting area and had pigs, goats, chicken with young chicks, calves at the time we were there. Lots of parking. The staff are friendly and attentive. there is a viewing at 3pm to see the cows being milked.

“Excellent cheeses”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

The cheeses are sublime with a very good spectrum of flavours. The chocolates are little luxuries. Some products are available in IGA supermarkets in the Cairns and surrounds.
