“Interesting, yummy and good value for money”
Reviewed October 30, 2012

We took the Food Trail Tour because it was very windy out on the reef and we wanted to experience more of Cairns. The day started exceptionally well and just got better and better. The bus rolled up and we were introduced to Warrick and the passengers he had already collected. It was a nice ice-breaker and we were given a canvas bag in which to place our edible goodies that we would be purchasing at each stop. Each place we visited was fascinating and the owner/farmers took time to explain how they produced their goods and gave plenty of tastings - I particularly enjoyed the fruit wine maker and my husband the macadamia nut farmer. We thought we got good value for money, bought lots of nice gifts (although many we ate before we got home!) and thoroughly enjoyed Warrick's commentary about the area and his passion for his very special tour. Happy to recommend.

“Amazing!”
Reviewed August 6, 2012

The tour guide was exceptionally knowledgable about the area and had a good sense of humor. The food was tasty, and we got to learn a lot! The winery is a bit stingy with their tasting, but that can't be helped by the tour guide. It was a very enjoyable day! I would recommend this trip to anyone who wants a relaxing day to learn about and try some treats from Northern Queensland!

Jamie,
Thanks for your comments about tastings at the winery.
I have now spoken to them, and they seem to have heard the message.

We look forward to having you travel with us when you return to Cairns.

“Great tour. Great food. Great driver!”
Reviewed July 14, 2012

We love a good wine tour but as there are no vineyards in the Cairns region we thought we had to compromise. No compromises here - it was a fantastic day! We loved visiting the smaller producers and getting to see their work up close - and no jostling with crowds. Warwick was a great driver and very knowledgable about the region. The group was small and there was so much food! Thoroughly recommend this to anyone visiting the region and especially anyone with an interest in seeing where their food has come from.

“Well worth it”
Reviewed June 27, 2012

As we had been to Cairns several times before we were looking for something different to do and chose Food Trail Tours after reading all the good reviews. We thoroughly enjoyed our day in the Atherton Tablelands and it was nice to have someone else doing the driving. Warrick was a good guide and very knowledgeable. We covered a large area of sightseeing and enjoyed lots of tastings and a lovely lunch. We finished the day on beautiful Lake Barrine enjoying a wonderful afternoon tea. You should definately take this tour.

“Fantastic overview of the region”
Reviewed June 23, 2012

We highly recommend this tour. It was a great day out with lots of variety and fantastic commentary from Warwick who looked after us well all day. There were lots of diffferent tasting experiences and a great overview of the Atherton Tablelands. If you are in Cairns, don't miss this wonderful experience.

With so many micro-climates on the Atherton Tablelands we were glad to show you what we could in just one day. I would like to think we have another tour to another region by the time you return to Cairns.
Thanks, Warwick
