“Great find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 4, 2014

This little Japanese restaurant was a surprise find . Service was excellent , complimentary iced green tea on arrival . Amazing flavoured broths and the Gynoza ( not sure of spelling ) dumplings were yummy , all meals very reasonably priced . We were allowed to take what we couldn't eat with us and was enough for lunch at our unit the next day .

“BEST ramen joint!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2013

Big call but. This is the best ramen joint out of all of the ramen places I've tried in Melbourne, Sydney and Cairns. I go back to Cairns just for this ramen. No joke!

“Eat here! ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 8, 2013 via mobile

While visiting Cairns last month, I did some research of the food scene and glad there were so many great reviews of this place on TA.
If you're looking for a neighborhood feel dining with delicious noodles, this is a must try. It's hard to sort through the tourist/backpacker clutter in the city and this place is the exact opposite.

A few highlights:
- small and cozy inside, we ate at the bar
- ordered the homemade gyoza and two noodle dishes (garlic and basic)
- affordable and quick

“What a fantastic find!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 1, 2013

Tucked amid the tourist traps lining the Cairns esplanade is this authentic, delicious, and charming Japanese noodle house. The first clue was being greeted upon entering by the classic Japanese "sumimasen" and then being offered seating at small wooden tables or the wonderful bar that runs from the restaurant front to back. The gyoza were freshly homemade and so amazing that we ordered a second plate. The spicy cold noodles were perfect on a hot day at the reef, and the hot soups had rich tasty broths. We feasted for less than $15/person. The best meal in Cairns!
