I didnt like these apartments for a few reasons.
They are on a noisy road with trafiic all the time. If you like peace and quiet- apartments facing Leichhardt Street are NOT for you. You cant sit out on your balcony as its far too noisy.
Also, the aircon in the rooms does not work- you get no relief from the aircon fans, so it was stifling and too noisy to open windows.
There were no shower caps, and you only got two measly sachets of wash powder for a 7 night stay. I think thats a little mean.
Beds were comfy- but pillows like slabs. The towels were thin rag like things that needed throwing out. Ours even looked discoloured and I felt like they needed a good bleach.
No cutting board which makes thing hard. You only get 4 bits of cutlery/plates. SO if you have a few things extra to serve - what do you do. ?
Location is good for north of the city to Queen Street Mall.
Our apartment had a funny smelly shoe smell which was not nice.
All in all I cant say I was impressed and wanted to leave after a few days as it was just too noisy.

Room Tip: Dont face Leichhardt Street --at your peril for noise.

My partner and I stayed at Oxygen Apartments for 2 nights for a birthday weekend away. We chose the apartments over a hotel for the space and the fact that they all seemed light and airy in the photos with nice views.
We spent a lot of time shopping in the Queen Street Mall which was only a 10 minute walk down hill from the complex. There's a free bus that does a loop through the city which we caught several times as well. Very handy.
The staff were super helpful, they gave us a city map and answered all our questions about restaurants and where we should shop. We found out it's a family run business which was pretty cool, they were very nice people and it didn't feel the way some of the big, stale hotels feel.
The rooms have been refurbished we were told, they're really quite nice with nice white There was a light bulb out in the dining room when we got there, so we called Reception and they sent the maintenance man up right away to replace it.
We found it a very pleasant experience and next time we're in Brisbane we'll definitely stay there again, it's very relaxed and in such close proximity to the city! Great place!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Village Green rather than the city, it cuts out a lot of the street noise...

We stayed at the Oxygen Apartments for 3 nights in a 3 bed apartment. Firstly, this was not the 3 bed double height ceiling as advertised on their website (though it does state that not all 3 beds would be like this).

The apartment was in bad need of a refurb. The carpets were grotty (we were told they were being replaced after our stay). The walls were badly marked and the bathrooms needed a good scrub.

The size of the rooms were ok- not too small but not spacious either. Similarly there was one tv in the main lounge room- despite their being tv points in 2 bedrooms.

The kitchen etc was well equipped for 6 people.

Overall, the apartments and the apartment complex could be really nice- if they were given the proper clean and maintenance (eg the stackstone was flaking off in some of the public areas).

We would not stay there again, however, as it is just too far outside of Brisbane for a family travelling with children- the distance isn't too great but the incline of the hill makes it a very long walk!

I was initially somewhat excited finding this place - initial impressions were quite good. I go to Brisbane quite regularly and wanted to find another place to stay close to the CBD for business. After staying now 3 times over the past 4 months i won't be going back.

Main issues are:
cleanliness - although the rooms are cleaned it is only a surface clean - it doesn't take much to discover that the apartments don't get a spring clean very often
Layout/decor of the rooms - i stayed at 3 different rooms during my stays and the layout often doesn't work - often having to move chairs / lounges to get around the apartment and the decor is not very modern.
Service - average. Although the male manager was helpful on occasion the female manager was not helpful and at times rude.
Noise - 1 room was somewhat quiet but the other 2 there was noise from traffic or from other apartments

Overall it is the feel - i am looking for something where i feel good going back to at night and relaxing / re-energising and Oxygen Apartments does not have that.

Room Tip: don't go

I was in Brisbane for a work trip and stayed for 4 nights. Nice clean, modern apartments. nice modern decor, and great views from the balcony. I stayed in a spacious 2 bedroom apartment, booked through a last minute website. Great facilities, I used the gym, pool, and spa.
Great location. I learnt that Spring Hill is called that for a reason! If you happen to catch the Airtrain in from the airport, it's a few blocks from Central Station which are up hill. Grab a cab (from the airport) if you have much luggage.
Only hassle I had was with the internet not working, and boss not too happy as I needed to do work on-line, and check emails etc. It was up and running 2 days later.

We stayed at oxygen a few years ago just after it opened and due to a mix up with our booking, we were allocated the penthouse which was incredible. This time we stayed in a two bedroom apartment with an additional foldaway bed. The apartment was spacious, clean and well equipped. There are two convenience stores downstairs which is very handy. The only concern I had was that we could not lock the balcony door. As it was a public holiday we didn't want to concern management about it. Overall, a lovely apartment and one that we would stay at again.

Found Oxygen Apartments thru TripAdvisor. Located on periphery of CBD and due to some steep streets may not suit those with walking difficulties but taxi’s are plentiful. 20 – 40 minute cars drive from Brisbane International Airport. We had booked a two bedroom, which on the 9th floor was very nice, but upgraded free of charge to a three bedroom loft apartment as a result of aircon failure. These apartments are very spacious, open plan in style and well presented with excellent modern kitchen and bathroom facilities, including a spa bath in master en-suite. The beds were really comfortable with good quality linen. TV was large screen with a number of satellite channels. The reception staff and management were really helpful and informative willing to assist with any issue. The Silverline taxi service arranged thru’ the manager was excellent. Plenty of good reasonably priced restaurants nearby including Thai and Japanese. Queen Street, one of the main shopping areas, with large malls, 20 mins walk.
Although the weather was awful during our stay, the pool and grounds were cleaned and tidy and would be a great place to ‘chill‘in the sun when it puts in an appearance.
As mentioned, there is a 24/7 shop very close by to enable you to buy all you need.
Would stay here again without hesitation
