Excellent atmosphere, charming host, delicious food. This restaurant is very consistent and changes the menu with the seasons so it is never boring. Try a Kir Royale for a nice start to the evening.

I come to the Continental on a fairly regular basis. I would say it is above average for food, and atmosphere. Not top notch, but reasonable food, and reasonably priced. Crème brulee is fantastic.

A mid week hunger trully satisfied by a wide menu selection of hearty Continental cuisine (with offal selection!) in an unpretentious setting, attentive staff and good wine selection. Set in Brisbane, ideal if you don't wish to travel overseas for a taste of Europe.

We had a main each and a dessert each. The size of the portions were very reasonable. My wife's meal looked and tasted quiet nice with good acidity and balance of flavours. I ordered the steak. My steak was not the most tender most likely due to the fact that it was rump. The sides were good portioned and good flavour. The desserts (sticky date) were very sweet and the sauce was very watery. Nice ambience with a homely rustic feel to the place. Service was prompt and polite. Overall a nice night out.

I returned to this old favourite with a girlfriend for lunch last Thursday and wondered why I had been lured away to other offerings in the last few years. It was like visiting an old friend, same familiar decor, attentive service and European infuenced food with nothing `trendy' going on. This cafe has been here for over 20 years which is something in a local dining scene full of openings, closing and reinventions.

The food is well priced, main courses are under $30 which is a rare find in this town for this kind of food. We enjoyed light lunches, greek lamb and haloumi salads priced at $22.90 and $18.90 respectively. A white chocolate and pistachio creme brulee at $12 also hit the spot.

We wont leave it so long to return.
