We ordered the Bangkok set, comes with one bowl of steamed rice, one bowl of tom yum chicken, grilled prawns and a stir fry chicken and vege dish. The taste is authentic, with the level of spiciness reduced. The Thai iced milk coffee was too sweet, but the Thai iced milk tea was alright, although diluted.

Went for dinner and had the Paid Thai, Massamun Curry and Spring rolls. We have been to Thailand a number of times and this was with a doubt the closest Thai we have had in Australia that has tasted like the real thing! Serving size also was extremely good - not too big and the value for money was exceptional! Will definitely be going back!

It's authentic alright and very popular. Although it does not present as salubrious by any stretch and the service is, well relaxed, the food is outstanding. It is delicious and fast. The green papaya salad and the duck larb are my favourites. OK, the place is not pretty, but whoa the food is great. Those new to Thai food, this is probably not for you.

The pad see ew is amazingly authentic. When you order it, the staff bring a stainless steel box to the table that looks like a toolbox. It contains sugar, fish sauce, dried chilli powder and pickled chilli. You can basically "pimp" your noodles to your taste. I loved it! The duck rice was also a highlight. The menu deviates from the standard Thai menu with interesting dishes like catfish salad and grilled laos sausage.
The service is basic but fair. You order at the counter and they bring the food to the table. The staff are all Thai and speak both English and Thai. The hardest decision is deciding what to have on my next visit :)

Upon entering Thai Wirat you will notice that the decor is basic and the service leaves a bit to be desired, but once trying the food you will forgive these things easily. On a recent visit I tried the massaman beef curry, the pad thai with prawns and tom yum goong. All very clean, fresh, dishes bursting with flavor. Thai Wirat also offers exceptional value considering the quality of the food and location. It is located in the china town mall (Duncan St mall) of Brisbane.
