I booked a table for a special occasion lunch on a sunday.I was told when i booked on saturday morning that I would be given a lovely table in the restaurant. We arrived to be told the restaurant was closed and that we would be seated in the bistro. The service was ordinary, with no cutlery provided for the second course, the ambience was ordinary and the seating was quite un comfortable.and what is going on with the table height??.Im not a tall person but I found the height of the table quite uncomfortable.having to lean forward and down to eat.!!!Looking around me everyone was the same.To top it off we had the obligatory stupid dessert phrase- "oh ladies couldnt you make it to dessert.Surely you could have shared a creme Brulee".Ridiculous.Dont you think by the time you are paying the bill you have decided on not having dessert- why not just say thanks ladies hope you enjoyed your meal.wont go there again.i think they are riding along on coattails of the glory of the previous owner.
