We have eaten at Brents over the years and the food is always consistently excellent, tasty and imaginative, with outstanding presentation, but lunch yesterday was even better than usual. The crab and apple entree would have to be one of the prettiest entrees I've ever seen and the taste and flavour combination just as impressive. The rest of our meal was delicious (I always have the duck dish and am never disappointed), my husband was equally impressed with his lamb but would have liked another slice! The service is always good - without being over the top. The only downside I can think of, is that the garden outside the top floor really needs a little TLC - it has been a pleasant place to sit in the past - but it's currently looking just a bit dead or dying!
