My first time at Thai Ayuthaya was a good one. This is one of the best Thai restaurants on Brisbane's northside. Being a Saturday night, reservations are recommended as this was a full house.
The restaurant has been recently renovated and is a popular spot.
We ordered 7 main dishes and had dessert afterwards.
Service can be slow as it was busy so it is recommended to dine early.
Highly recommended dishes include seafood tom yum soup, beef massaman curry and basil, ginger and lamb stir fry. The dessert of sticky rice pudding with ice cream was also exquisite.
I haven't been to Thai Tosakan but I think this restaurant, Thai Ayuthaya is quite good. Although the servings are small, they taste sensational as they were prepared with fresh ingredients. I was in a party of 10 people and we ordered seven main dishes and some rice and desserts and this worked out to be around $20 per person.
Good value and beats my cooking anytime!
