Myself and a friend stopped by for dinner on a quiet Wednesday night, we ordered our beer at the counter and took menus ourselves, eventually the waitress came out to take our order, we ordered a pizza and a lasagne and another two bottles of beer, to be served at once. Beer didn't arrive till after the food, and the waitress brought the food to the table while on the phone! I'm insulting waitresses by calling her such! Lasagne had very little meat, was mainly pasta and sauce, pizza was fine. Don't waste your money .

We bought a scoopon for Lunch (4 people) and when we got there were told what was offered on the scoopon was only for dinner even thought it was stated you could order for lunch or dinner. The lunch Menu was poor, service minimal and they charged $9.50 for a glass of wine. Never go there again.

Have been here for brekkie a couple of times now, and although the food is actually pretty decent (and cheap!), the service lets this place down. I've found on both occasions that the waiting staff and MANAGER cannot keep track of who's coming and going, how long they've been waiting etc. For a small place, this really shouldn't be hard.

Pros: The coffee is the best part about this place.
Cons: I'd warn off going for a visit to the toilets - horrible.

We have started frequenting this restaurant in the middle of Fortitude Valley quite often after it had a recent renovation. The food is just simply fantastic!

Our favourite dishes are the lasagna, chicken parmigiana, Hawaiian pizza, etna chicken pasta and carbonara. Highly recommended.

We had dinner here on 25/1/2012 and came back for breakfast the next day. We didnt have a booking and when we arrived for dinner, we were told that there would be a short wait for food as there was a large group celebrating a birthday. The waiter was really polite and went out of his way to make sure we had drinks on the table and honestly we didnt have to wait very long at all. The only criticism was that we ordered a seafood marinara pizza for entree and received a different seafood pizza which was not a problem for me but two of the people we were eating with did not like capsicum and olives which were on this particular seafood pizza. We would have returned the pizza but given how busy they were, we decided just to eat it and pick off the bits we didnt like. I thought the pizza was delicious by the way...and i got to eat the discarded bits of olives!! Win!! Our main courses were equally delicious, especially mine which was a meatball, cheese and mashed potato calzone. It also had cabonara sauce dribbled over it. So good!! Two people had pasta and rated it highly and the fourth person had a seafood grill, which he liked most of but was not a fan of the fish. Based on what we had, I would recommend sticking to the typically Italian food like the pasta and Calzones. Our non-capsicum and olive friends ordered dessert, but i was so full!! The dessert was huge and was polished off quickly so it must have been good. The wine list was pretty good for this type of restaurant and the price at the end was very reasonable for four of us and all the food and drinks we inhaled. The restarant is in the middle of the Valley Mall, with most of the tables outide in the mall area. So you can watch all the characters walk by or sit inside. We noticed on the wall that Mellino's also did a breakfast for $7.50 which was eggs, bacon, tomato, toast and a coffee. So we went back the next day and the breakfast was really great!! I was the only one to try the $7.50 deal but it was delcious and with a nice capaccino too. I like this place the most late at night with a wine in hand and a seafood pizza to pick at. Good service, good food and a good price. Will be back for another one of those calzones soon!!!
