The beer and company over the Lions visit was amazing.Great night out assured.
The food is typical pub food and the service can't be bettered
Take a few friends and make a night of it.

“not bad for midtown”
Reviewed June 13, 2013

If you find yourself in central Brisbane and want a reasonable priced meal and a good range of drinks this is not a bad choice. It is divided into a bar area and eating area although you can eat in the bar area on an order yourself basis. The good thing about the menu is you can have the traditional Irish meals for around the $15 mark but if you want a big steak you can get it but at double the base meal price. Like all Aussie eating places there is no compulsory 20% tax called a "gratuity" to deal with and even a modest extra to staff is genuinely appreciated.

“Average Irish Pub”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

We had lunch here with some friends in June and it was a good, family-friendly pub (kids menu, high chair, colouring in for the kids).

Service was prompt and friendly. Food was pretty average - the pork belly was cooked well but had no crispy crackling and the chips on the side were nice but a small portion so we ended up ordering a side of wedges as well. Irish stew and chicken caesar wrap were of normal pub food standard.

We returned for dinner the same weekend as the weather was awful and it was close by - saving us from wandering around in the rain. This time we had an entree of garlic bread, which was dry and not very garlicky, as well as chilli & lemon squid, which was beutifully cooked and really delicious. The mains were a little disappointing - eye filet steak was not very good quality and so charred on the outside the whole thing tasted burned (ordered medium). The rib eye on the bone was ordered medium rare, but came out more rare sitting in a pool of blood that made all the chips soggy. Sides of chips, corn and coleslaw were good, but again, not really enough there.

Good pub, nice atmosphere but the food is hit and miss.

“$10.00 a pint! NO THANKYOU!!!”
Reviewed June 3, 2013

Seriously $10.00 a pint!! I bought three for me and some mates $30.00!!! It was ridiculous, never ever going back, my jaw hit the floor when the barmaid ask for the money, I told her 'you're joking?' and continued to say how can you charge people that much for a drink? Ridiculous, for a very average pub never again thankyou very much

“Grotty pub with atmosphere.”
Reviewed June 1, 2013 via mobile

Hmmm....well this is this kind of place where your feet stick to the floor and if you we're desperate you could drink the carpet! Cosy atmosphere though and I guess that's what people come here for. Unless you are up for a dirty pub experience don't come.
