Description: Cha Cha Char Wine Bar & Grill is a stylish, contemporary restaurant specialising in high quality, cooked-to-perfection steaks. On our menu you'll find plenty of information - the breed, paddock address, age (12 months to 30 months and older), size (200g to 600g), accompaniments and diet (grass fed/grain fed) as well as snapshots of rare, medium rare, medium and well done steaks to help diners with their preferences. It's harder than you think to get a great steak onto a plate - there are so many variables. Restaurateur John Kilroy is a nationally recognised beef judge and is constantly showcasing products to the hospitality industry where discussions range from the breed of cattle, feed type and age of the carcass. His wide recognition throughout the beef industry means that we receive first class products on a consistent basis, year round. John sources the beef direct from producers and suppliers and ages it for five weeks, giving diners a chance to taste different breeds, brands and regions. That's why it's Brisbane's signature steak restaurant!

We really enjoyed our meals at Cha Cha Char. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the service was impeccable. The location is amazing which explains the hefty menu prices. Definitely worth it every now and again for a splurge.

Excellent oysters and scallops starters had by all. Raw meat cuts brought to table and explanation given as to cut and way animal was fed affects meat. All had various steaks cooked exactly the way we asked. Wine was good and not expensive, although you could spend an fortune if you desired. Nice sweet to finish. Good service from young male waiter. Only downside, was they had run out of bread. A thouroughly enjoyable evening. I shall be going back.

I really enjoyed the steak and the atmosphere is lively, clean and just formal enough. The staff was great and I am a collector of steak knives from around the world and they did not mind me taking one as a souvenier.

Cha Cha Char has a narrow focus, but that allows them to execute very well. The steaks are always cooked to perfection and the quality is outstanding. Wine lovers will be pleased with the wine list. The staff is consistently friendly and professional. One of my favorite places in Brisbane.

I invariably find my way down to the river and into Cha Cha Char whenever I am in Brisbane (usually half a dozen times each year).
This is a justifiably popular restaurant which whilst a little expensive, provides excellent steaks and some interesting options both as starters/entrees and in the main course selection.
Service is always pretty good and apart despite the fact that it is a reasonably large restaurant.
The steaks are excellent of course; I have not had a bad piece of meat here, but have had many that were quite superb.
The wine list is also a bit expensive with the better value/better quality wines not below $80 per bottle but there is a good selection of Shiraz especially.
I love steak houses and believe Cha Cha Char to be among the best, so have no hesitation in recommending it highly.
