The service was fantastic, each meal described by staff who obviously LOVE what they do. The wines were matched wonderfully, and topped up constantly. The food was phenomenal.ENough said!

Ive been to Anise several times and it is always superb. Love the seating arrangements - the night always ends up feeling like I've been at a great dinner party. Inevitably parties end of exchanging conversation, usually about the food and the great wines. The guys running the place know their stuff and really enjoy sharing. The wine flights are a great way to experience new drops you might not have tried before. Food is great! Anise is a longstanding favourite of ours.

A really small place with an equally small menu. But to our surprise we loved the food. Very simply put together lovely ingredients arranged beautifully. It seems the chef has some great skills and uses them bringing out the complex flavours in abundance. The service was chatty though professional always checking back to make sure all was good. If the cheese souffle is on the menu then I highly recommend it. The International beer selection was nice touch as my guest likes his English ales. I wish Anise was closer to home.

Have being wanting to go here for a while and glad we did we absolutely loved it. Had the degustation with matching wines, food was superb, and a wonderful selection of interesting wines available. The service was superb, attentive and they were very knowledgeable about food and wines. Brisbane tends to be a bit of a wasteland for food so this will become a regular haunt for us.

We had the Menu degustation thought it was not very much food for two men. Matching wines for each course with that little bit of food you get a bit loaded and on a Monday night only 3 guests there. Thought the barman really coud'nt be bothered with us and at one point he insisted the red wine which I complained was off was perfectly drinkable pouring what remained into our glasses, only to admit later that it was past its best. Why? Found a peice of wire from the pot wash thing in my pregnant guests meal and the barman dimissed it as no big deal and did not even apologise, just said it was an occupational hazard sometimes. (sure got that right )
We would not return.
