“Love it”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 20, 2013

My partner and I were in Brisbane recently to attend a work function and we had heard about the Emporium Hotel from some friends. It totally lived up to our expectations, the rooms were modern and very comfortable, the staff were more than helpful and we generally had a good experience. I can highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Brisbane. It is a five minute taxi ride to the CBD but there is plenty to see and do within walking distance.
All up great.

Nice looking hotel. Beautiful large rooms; love the washer and dryer. Friendly Brisbane service. My only minor complaints are that the beds are slightly too soft and the alarm in the room went off at 4am and then again at 6am. I usually check that the alarm is off when I check in, but I got in late and didn't. It would be nice if staff that service a room after check out, ensure that the alarm is turned off. It wasn't cheap given that it is outside the CBD. Would return happily.

The Emporium is a fairly new boutique hotel in Brisbane and I think they do it in style. Maybe I am getting old as I thought the foyer was a little garish but then the hotel appears to be aimed at a younger clientele.
I was very impressed with all the staff, front desk, concierge etc as they were all efficient with a smile on their faces. The rooms are comfortable and mine came with a spa bath, a little mini kitchen behind folding doors and all the other amenities you would expect given the room rate they charge. I should also say there is a pillow service for you to pick from.
The cocktail bar was jumping when I visited once again with friendly staff although I thought the wine could have been a little colder than what they served.
The only downside for me was the fact that breakfast was only served in the room however walking out the front door one is presented with a number of good restaurants, breakfast also in the square.
The hotel is out of the CBD but close to Fortitude Valley.
Overall a nice place to stay

My husband and I had a horrible experience at another hotel back in July and decided because we were making the trip to Brisbane to stay in a nice hotel there and redo our anniversary celebration. Well, we were blown away by the attentiveness of the staff, the comfort of the bed, and the fact that they even had a pillow menu. This place is tops in my book and we will go back for sure.We had such a wonderful experience and the room service was amazing. The food was great and reasonably priced. The cleanliness of the room was top notch and I love how they pay attention to all the details. They service the rooms twice a day, so when you are gone all day you come back to two bottles of water and chocolates on your pillow. It was such a nice experience. The cab fare was reasonable as well around $14 each way to Queen Street Mall. Thank you so much again for your efforts in making our anniversary a special event.

Room Tip: The spa room was beautiful.

This is a very niche hotel but perfect for business or recreational travel. It is located away from the CBD but this can also be a positive, you are also closer to the airport. The staff are extremely friendly and most helpful with an aim to please. There is a superb selection of restaurants and cafe's in the square with something to please everyone. I cannot wait to get back there for a longer stay.

Nice modern hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Beds and pillows are great. Foyer is a little garish for my taste but rooms are quite tasteful. The hotel is just outside the CBD. But it is a short walk into it. It is very close to Fortitude Valley nightspots and has a number of restaurants nearby.

We did not enjoy being at Emporium. While the employees were generally pleasant, the hotel is garish with red decor. Eye strain everywhere. The room was dark with recessed lighting. In the bathroom, the light shined down making shadows on your face. The area is not the best in Brisbane, with red light-like shops nearby. I would avoid this hotel and will never return. It is also frightfully expensive, especially for the mediocre accommodations. The air condition in our room pounded 24/7, interfering with sleep.

Room Tip: Don't go there.
