“Romantic Getaway 5 Star”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

It was decided that we needed a night away from reality so although we are locals we decided we would stay at the Emporium. We choose their Enchanted Evening package.

Arriving we were met by valet who took our bag to reception and parked our car. We were greeted by friendly staff and the check-in process was very simple. The staff were efficient, friendly and ensured that we were happy every step of the way. Before check in we had organised for in-room massages and also for the romantic turn-down. So when we checked in, staff confirmed the times for us.

Our suite had a bottle of champagne on ice waiting for us. The room décor could only be described as contemporary elegance. The suite was of an average size, the king size bed was inviting and you could choose which pillow you wanted and could call up service to give you that pillow - they had examples of all of the pillows on offer.
The downside was there was no balcony in our room and the view of new farm and buildings wasn't the prettiest.
The bathroom was clean and although it was called a "spa" bath, the bath was quite uncomfortable. Our package included breakfast from Belle Époque French Patisserie and we could choose what we wanted but it was a bit confusing. We didn't want to ask and I do blame myself for not asking the exact procedure.

The little details were there though. Lovely toiletries, great room service, friendly staff, and the hotel even features a Cocktail Bar, Roof Top Terrace with lap pool & sauna. Downstairs there are lots of restaurants to choose from and some great little cafes.

While we went out for dinner, hotel staff did our turn down service. We came back to a candle lit room with rose petals, champagne, strawberries, chocolates and music. It was beautifully done.

Really was everything it said it would be. Well worth the expense especially for a little bit of luxury and indulgence. You know they say it's good every now and again.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony if they have them? Not sure if they do though.

Wow, loved this hotel
Very modern, very clean. The personal service was fantanstic. Although most of the staff are on the younger side, I was amazed at how helpful and attentive they all were . from front desk, conceirge, to cleaners etc. Its also is in a great position, great shops and places to eat, yet still close enough to the Valley and city.We went to the powerhouse which was a short taxi drive.
Lots of bottles of water available by the poolside, even upon leaving. 2 bottles put in the car for our trip home, and upon turning down of the beds at night, with a little sweet.
The roof top pool small but cosy and privacy available by curtains available to draw across. Wow
Bar downstairs very nice. Loved the different chairs and seats in the bar, so they was no uniform chairs or seat all the same.. gave it a great feel plus comfort to sit back and enjoy.
Will be back..

Room Tip: We stayed 4 th floor, no problems, quiet.

We stayed here recently on our holidays and were very impressed with the hotel. The staff are extremely helpful and polite. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are quiet and well designed. Had a few drinks in the bar before going out to meet friends for dinner. Will be back next year.

It's the stay that you dream about, but never REALLY believe it will be realised anywhere on this planet. But it was, it is. We stayed 2 nights for a birthday surpise, and it was truly amazing. We live only 4 km from this hotel, but our break was like we were a million miles away.
Starting with the approach, concierge is brilliant - understated, but you know that if you needed an elephant, a brain surgeon, shoes from Paris, gelatto from Italy or moondust, he would get it with no questions asked without raising a sweat. Amazing. I want one.
The rooms - hotel rooms can be kind of claustrphobic at tiems, but the design and colours used here make the rooms seem huge, homely (if you call a New York Brownstone Penthouse home that is) and really sophisticated. We didn't wnat to leave - oh, the BED!!! So soft, and big, and crisp.... it kind of wraps you up in cotton wool.... there's a pillow menu too but we didn;t need to call on it, ours were great. Next bit of niceness.... MOlton Brown toiletries, thank you very much!! Divine.
We DID leave our room, to wander up to the pool rooftop. VERY chic. It was to cool to pool, but we hung there, admired our city from above, and had a beer!! ALMOST had a sauna, but was too relaxed already.
I could write forever, but time is telling me to wind things up. This hotel was like a month-away - it solved our stresses in 2 nights, it shone a different light on Brisbane for us locals, and it proved that Australia does have service that exceeds that exerineced in fve star eurpoean and US hotels.
Bravo.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgrade to the EMPORIUM SUITE!!!!

We stayed at the Emporium Hotel while travelling from the Gold Coast to Brisbane, then flying out to Darwin the next morning.
Let me say this hotel was a secret paradise. We booked online only a couple of hours before we arrived, so they hadn't processed the reservation yet. Don't Worry! We were offered a on the house drink in their private bar (which is amazing).
After a wine...or two the room was ready, so we were chauffeured to our room. The detail and cleanliness was outstanding. Who would had guessed you could choose from 8 sorts of pillows!!
The only downer was we had to leave by 7am the next morning to catch a flight to Darwin. Will defenetly be staying here when in Brisbane again, hand down!
Fully recommend staying in this amazing hotel!

We have stayed at the Emporium many times and it's a sensational place. The rooms are very modern and clean, all with huge TV's. The bar is worth visiting in the afternoon and evening for that matter. It's located with a large block and has some great Restruants only minutes from the door. Highly recommend but a little expensive.
