The Pullman lived up to my expectations. I was going to a concert across the river at South Brisbane, and wanted to stay somewhere near instead of trekking back home to the northern suburbs of Brisbane. The old darling is undergoing some renovations, but hotel management is managing the process very carefully to minimise the impact on guests.

Check-in - smooth as silk. Lovely view to the north from the 7th floor. Very courteous staff. Room service meal was very tasty, but apparently 11:30pm is peak hour for room service.

Breakfast in the restaurant was marvellous, and check-out was smooth as silk, as well.

Tip - valet parking is $45 and well worth it. I will be very happy to come back again and again.

We're also so grateful for your understanding regarding our pool renovations and I am glad this did not have a negative impact on your stay. I do hope you give us the opportunity to welcome you back to the hotel in the future - we'd love for you to experience our newly renovated spaces, once they are completed.

We stayed in King spa suite. The room itself was great although there was no charging station (unlike Pullman Cairns where we stayed two weeks prior). The Pullman King George was let down by the room not being ready for 2.5 hours!!!!! We arrived at 2.05pm and the staff were obviously busy - we did some shopping for an hour, came back and the room was still not ready. We were offered a beer/wine while we waited and then still had to wait, and wait, and wait. There was a big queue at check-in, the staff were stressed, obviously management do not have enough staff on. Also staff throughout seemed extremely stressed which indicates to us that its not a happy place for them to work.

Dear Joanne S,

Thank you for your review. I would like to express my express my sincerest apologies regarding the experience you encountered here at the hotel. It is completely unacceptable that you had to wait 2.5 hours for your room and it really concerns me that our team appeared to be stressed during this time. Please rest assured, this is certainly not a regular occurrence and it is something that our management team will address immediately. Joanne S, I am deeply sorry that your stay was not up to our Pullman five-star standard, however I do hope you give us the opportunity to better serve you in the future.

Kind regards,

Alex B - Guest Relations & Services Manager

We had a great experience at the Pullman. An upgrade because our room wasn't ready was a pleasant bonus. We found the staff friendly and helpful.
The location was fabulous, an easy walk to Southbank and Queens Mall.

Stayed at the Pullman in a King Balcony Room for three nights, the view was amazing overlooking a church and King George Square. Check in was fast and efficient, customer service was fantastic. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds and selection of pillows very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was included in our rate, it certainly wasn't anything special, but the coffee was very good. Next time I would skip the restaurant and take a two-minute walk across King George Square into the city for something nicer. Best part of this hotel is the location - it's only a block from the Queen St Mall and just up the road from Roma St Station if you're using public transport, at the same time it's in a great easy location for taxi/Uber to navigate around.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking city hall or the church!

This is my regular hotel in Brisbane - Staff are friendly, food is excellent in the Allure Restaurant and the rooms are clean and well appointed. As a Platinum Accor Member I also use the executive lounge.
