The location and facilities of these serviced apartments are top notch and I would generally recommend them, and stay there again myself. The staff were very helpful too.

However, two niggles. One, the doors to the carpark do not stay open, so it's a struggle moving a couple of bags. Not a deal breaker though.

Of more concern, was that the layout of the two bedroom apartments meant that the aircon, which is only in the living/dining area, does not circulate well to the bedrooms. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms, but we needed them on constantly for the temperature to be bearable.

We stayed for 7 nights and found the self contained apartment very spacious, quality fittings and the staff are so helpful. I liked the fact that the apartment was cleaned to a very high standard and maintained that way whilst staying. Only three blocks walk to the Queen Street mall and well serviced by restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Loved the balconies which open wide. Highly recommended.

We just spent three full weeks at the Quest Spring Hill in Brisbane and were very pleased with our choice. The location is excellent -- very central and within walking distance to most everything related to business and leisure, without being too noisy. The two bedroom/ two bathroom suite we stayed at was clean, modern and comfortable. We even had a large balcony with a table and chairs if we wanted to eat outdoors (which we didn't since it was a bit chilly in July). The kitchen was well-equipped and met all our cooking needs, including full-fledged dinners from scratch. Having a washer-dryer in the room was also very helpful. Plus, the staff was very friendly. Overall, we were very satisfied with the Quest Serviced Apartment concept and would stay at their properties elsewhere too.

Just returned from 3 great nights in Brisbane at the Quest Spring Hill with tickets to a comedy show at the Convention Centre to occupy one evening & the rest of the time we planned to shop, stroll the CBD and relax. Aftrer researching properties for weeks, unable to find a single one that didn't have contradicting reviews and was within the range we wanted to spend for a mini-holiday, we finally found Quest Spring Hill. It sounded perfect but didn't have any reviews so I decided to telephone them direct from New Zealand. I'm so glad I did as the office staff were VERY courteous and sorted out a reasonable rate for a two-bedroom, two-bath unit (our two children, aged 22 and 13 to share a room). We wanted a nice pool (preferably salt water, which it was), a balcony, a new-ish property within walking distance to shopping and not too far a taxi ride from the convention centre. We got just that....it was new (or had been recently well renovated) apartment-style complex. Our daughter remarked that she particularly liked it because it didn't feel like a hotel.

Upon arrival from the airport ($11 per person shuttle bus during the day, $12 train day/night, $32 taxi) we found it to be on a quiet street with two restaurants in view and a convenience store next door. Our check in was quick, and when the room was discovered not quite ready *(we arrived an hour before official check-in time) we were cheerfully & apologetically offered use of the clean second bedroom to store our bags. We changed to swimtogs, were given a stack of fluffly towels took dip in the pool while the room was quickly readied. Pool, spa & gym are on the second floor, a somewhat odd-feeling walk through the parking garage but once there.....very nicely done. Pool was spacious, definitely larger than a lap pool found at so many city properties, was crystal clear and at 1.5 m.depth, deep enough to cool off in, not deep enough to dive (but a bit too deep for little ones). The spa was also 1.5 m., warm and clean. We didn't use the separate gym room but it appeared adequate and was air conditioned. We were the only people there as it was mid week but there were plenty of sun lounges available around the pool and tables & chairs in the modern barbeque area. Although we, for once, didn't hire a car, there was plenty of secure parking available onsite.

In the room the decor was tasteful, very new and geared to the executive traveler with a large writing desk with phone in the large foyer. Plenty of storage, a full laundry behind bifolds, shelving and closet space galore in the rooms, floor to almost-ceiling windows in bedrooms. Just a note: We travel a great deal in our work and a good bed is VERY important, and the beds were super comfortable. I might also mention that we felt very secure as a key fob was needed to get you in the complex after the front desk had closed and you could access your own floor and the pool/gym floor via elevator/lift ONLY by swiping your key over the sensor.

Out the lobby door to the right, it was just 5-10 minute downhill walk to Queeen Street Mall, which has every shopping opportunity you could want...and a proper grocery store. I would suggest however, that you consider grocery shopping in the opposite direction, so as not to be lugging heavy bags UPHILL....although we were never wise enough to do this. Maybe the stores would even be a bit cheaper (let me know :-)

We'd always stayed in resort-type properties on the Gold Coast, and were newbies to city accommodation but were told Quest Spring Hill's location was as close as you could get to the city without being IN the city. Very true; we had absolutely no road noise, not surrounded by towering skyscrapers or nightclubs, all in all it was quite peaceful yet you could look down and see people bustling to and from work & play. It was a fairly average-looking street, with ok-ish views but was so conveniently located to everything we needed that we appreciated it more each day that went by. For example, when daughter wanted to shop while everyone else had a lazy morning, she could go on her own and be back with bags full in just 2 hours or less! Don't know if it was coincidence but every shop assistant we dealt with, every waitress, even the shuttle driver were fabulously polite, cheerful and accommodating (won't say anything about the yellow cab drivers....both got up on the wrong side of the bed).

We cooked a light meal in our room the first night and had everything we needed at hand. Lovely dip in the pool and walked to shopping the next day. Took a $12 taxi ride to the convention centre that evening to see our show, but decided to stroll 'home'again that night, giggling the whole way from our great night of stage comedy. We shopped more the next day, everything within walking distance, strolled down to Eagle Street Pier planning to have a nice seafood dinner but eventually took advantage of the FREE loop bus back to Queen Street Mall and had an absolutely fabulous dinner of Moreton Bay Bugs and King Prawns (pan grilled with garlic butter...mmmmm) at the Cafe East, an open air restaurant in the middle of the shopping area. Look for their colourful menu boards as you pass.

The only slight negatives the property: The one large air conditioning unit in the lounge was intended to cool the entire apartment but did not penetrate well to the bedrooms, even with the help of lovely ceiling mounted fans. Result was cold & rather noisy lounge and hot bedrooms unless doors left open all night, hampering privacy for people sleeping. The light coloured carpeting surrounding the kitchen was spotted with spill stains, and although it didn't really seem dirty, aesthetically it could have used a shampoo...although we chose to ignore it rather than complain about something so small. Advertising photos on the website showed kitchens with full bifold windows running the length of the benchtop opening out onto the balcony, a very classy look for two-bedroom units. But they are not in ALL two-bedroom units, we learned, as our room had a typical kitchen/dining/lounge combination. It was just something a bit nicer I would have liked, although it certainly wasn't a big deal. These few items did not take away from our enjoyment of the property, and we do feel we got value for money as the saying goes.

On our final day, the front desk happily arranged a 5 am taxi for our early departure. It was a wonderful (short) trip and we would happily stay there again in the future.
