Oaks on Felix is a very well located apartment hotel in Brisbanes CBD district. Depending on the floor you have a very nice few of the city. The botanical garden is just around the corner. The apartment had a large living room with kitchen and a nice sleeping room. Everything was very clean and modern. Unfortunately we were not able to get a late check out on our departure date, but otherwise good service.

We stayed at Oaks on Felix for 4 nights. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed (fridge, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, tv, dvd player). Some of the furniture was a little dirty- the couches had marks on them but overall the apartment was clean. The bathroom was nice and clean too. Our apartment had a large balcony area that had a great view overlooking the river. Also there are gym and pool facilities in the building. The apartment is in a good location, close to the Queen St Mall (3-5 minute walk), and the Botanic Gardens, and there are some good pubs nearby.

We stayed at Oaks on Felix while my husband was working in Brisbane and were stranded by the volcanic ash cloud. We loved everything about the hotel - its location, the staff ,the beautiful appartments and the amazing views especially from 33rd floor. Everyone was so kind and helpful when we couldn't get a flight back to Scotland and we would would love to come again. We loved Brisbane and everyone we met and are so shocked and sad to see the flooding you are enduring at the moment. We are thinking of you and hope to be back soon. Kathy and Nick

Chose this place based on TripAdvisor reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Basically, apartments seem to be hotels with no lobbies, and who need lobbies? There was a nice front desk with curteous people. I stayed there for 5 days.

The rooms were spacious with balconies with large sliding doors. No screens were necessary, at least at that time of year and at that height. My room had a nice view of a bit of the river and a lot of the city. The only minor complaint I had was that my room, although very high up, was over a back street pub that had an outdoor section which was loud on the weekend until 11 or 12. The only blissfully quiet night was when it rained.

But the bonus was the in-room laundry facilities. I was not only able to catch up on my laundry, but I left the place with no dirty laundry, i.e. I was good for the next week.

The TV was good, with always a movie to watch if desired.

The location is terrific, 5 minutes walk to multiple waterfront eating places, though they fill up fast. The waterfront is fantastic, a boardwalk to catch boats, and a promenade up higher that contains the restaurant cafes. The promenade is about 1mi/2km long and goes from the Route 15 bridge all the way to the city Botanic Gardens which has its own waterfront and is in general a nice place to relax.

The nearest internet cafe is a bit of a walk to Albert Street but not too far.

There are many Oaks hotels in Brisbane, I chose this one based upon it's proximity to the city cat terminal at Eagle St Pier. The reception staff were extremely helpful, they even got me into my apartment a few hours before check in. The location is great, right by the river and CBD and a 10 minute stroll right into the city centre. The standard apartment was reasonably sized and cleaned daily but definately 'tired'. This hotel would benefit enormously from a few coats of paint and a bit of new furniture. Washing machines and dryers in the rooms were very convenient.

The major downside is the level of street noise on a Friday and Saturday night well into the very small hours of the morning. Also the noise from other guests in the communal areas was unreasonable late at night.

We stayed here for 1 week in October and the hotel is good quality and value. The room we had was a 1 bed apartment and it was very large for 2 people, the kitchen had everything we needed and there was a full lounge area that led out to a balcony with river views. The bedroom was more compact but also looked onto the balcony. The bathroom was a good size with a bath and shower, and there was also laundry facilities in the apartment. The apartments are serviced daily and they clean the kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. The hotel has a small pool and spa area and a small gym. The location is central and within 5 minute walk to shops, bars, restaurants but the street the hotel is on is actually very quiet and it was easy to sleep.
The only downer would be the car park. We weren't warned there is an additional charge of $20 per night for this, and it is difficult to find another car park within a decent distance of the hotel. We paid and parked in their underground car park, and while there our car was damaged quite badly by another car belonging to someone else who was a tenant in the same hotel building. The hotel staff weren't terribly helpful about this and said all they could do was try and get in contact with the tenant and let me know. I haven't heard anything from them since. They also made no offer to refund our parking fee which I think they could have done give the car was clearly not safe in their secure car park.

Hi All,
We stayed here on a Saturday night before heading up to the sunshine coast and thought it was lovely. The price was fantastic and the rooms were clean and modern enough. The location was close to the market which I loved and the staff were friendly in helping me get a car space. I just wished I had more time in Brissy to spend more time in the resort but for a weekend getaway we will be back for sure. This is value for money and I could easlier stay here a night, a week or a month.
