“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Brisbane Holiday Village”
Reviewed May 7, 2009

We found the accommodation to be of an excellent standard, and the facilities much better than expected. Our cabin was well designed and fitted out with good quality appliances. There is a small cafe where we were able to get good food at a very reasonable cost.
The grounds, pool area and mini golf course were well cared for and the staff friendly and professional.
We were in Brisbane to visit family but spent some of our time relaxing at the Brisbane Holiday Village because it met our needs so well we felt we were at home.

We have often stayed at Brisbane Holiday Village as we have family in Brisbane. We find it to be an excellant location with a great shopping centre and theatres near-by.
We stay on an en-suite powered site and find the amenities are good. The sites are fairly spacious and private. the en-suites are kept very clean.
We have enjoyed the use of the free tennis court and other facilities during our stay.
Our grand children have come to visit us and love watching the birds being fed as well as a fun hit of cricket on the large grassed area.
The staff have always been very helpful and we have found it very easy to communicate by email to make a booking.
We will always stay here when we go to Brisbane, they also have package deals available.

  • Liked — good layout for en-suite caravan sites
  • Disliked — long way to get to laundry etc

From the time we booked, to the time we had to leave (which unfortunately was early), the staff could not have been more helpful. Our stay was for business, so we didn't get to use all the wonderful facilities such as pool and putt putt, but we did utilise the cafe a few nights for dinner and I would highly recommend it. Brisbane Holiday Village exceeded our expectations and we would not hesitate to stay there again. The park was clean and extremely well maintained and the rates were excellent. We had our own caravan but there are a number of cabins for hire. The location is excellent because it is so close the Brisbane. While there we travelled to Ipswich, Hervey Bay, Kingarow and quite a few other places for our business and it was easy to get to anywhere from our base. I look forward to going back and staying for a holiday so I can enjoy all the facilities on offer.

We arrived on the worse day ever!Thunder and lightning and the plane was "up and down",we circled for an hour before we could land on the "lake" of Brisbane Airport!

We got lost in the deluge, missed the turnoff because we couldn't see out the windows.Eventually we got there an hour later (way after hours for the staff) and my daughter decided she could take no more travelling and vomited in the hire car! What a nightmare!!

But the best thing ever was the welcoming smile and the great accomodation waiting for us.We were kindly upgraded to a lovely Family Villa at no extra charge and the next morning we woke to the sound of birds singing.
Even though there was new construction going on in the park during our stay, the Park Manager called on us regularly to make sure that everything was fine, the noise not too loud and that we were not inconvenienced in any way.We were well looked after, though there were never any problems.

We had such a lovely stay of 10 days. The pool is really well looked after and the gardens impressive.I'd recommend it to anyone. We enjoyed it so much we're staying there again May/June 2009.

Since we travel to see family in Brisbane every year,we look for value, cleanliness and family friendly accommodation all the time. Now we don't need to do any more looking because Brisbane Holiday Village has it all.The kids are entertained with the playground, pool and putt putt golf, Garden City Shopping Centre is just 5 mins away for our fun and there's a great Pub down the road that has a wonderful countermeal!

Very nice people, very nice stay and can't wait to get back and see them again!

  • Liked — the roominess of the Villa
  • Disliked — couldn't figure out how to use the heater/air conditioner properly. No instructions

It looks good and sounds good, and you get a glossy folder with all the info you need on arrival, but they fail to put thier guests first.
Everything in the park costs. $4 a load for a small load of washing, another $2 to dry it. This was a lot more than our park in sydney.
You have to pay to have the lights on in the BBQ area. You have to pay for the BBQ's. This is despite you being able to get a free BBQ in any park in Brisabne.
The playgrounds are small, the family cabins are miles away from the playgrounds.
The family cabins are tired, paint chipped off the beds, ugly decor, and generally grotty.
Don't try and go to the toliet from the BBQ area at night, they close half the toilet blocks after dark.
Playstation was not in our room on arrival. Games for the playstation attract a $20 bond each.
It is just not very good value accommodation. They charge like a resort and deliver no better than an old caravan park.

Traveling from Canada with our 2 children, we really enjoyed staying at the Brisbane Holiday Village. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our self-contained unit was fully equipped and very clean. The children loved joining in on the daily Lorikeet feeding, playing tennis, swimming in the new pool and playing on the Playstation 2 that was in our room. The park was well maintained and was very quiet. It was a great location being a 15 minute walk to a huge shopping mall, the bus to go downtown was just outside the main entrance, and was just a 45 minute drive to the Gold Coast. We will definitely be back!!
