“Visit the little prayer chapel for an interesting suprise.”

Yes, I know, another Church. But call in and see the beautifully carved statue of the Australian Saint Mary MacKillop. It is carved from a cedar tree and is quite outstanding.

“A friendly visit”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

We were welcomed here and taken round by a volunteer guide who proved to have a wealth of information about the place. Weren't to mass here on the Saturday night and enjoyed the service.

“Something old still remains in the city.”
Reviewed September 8, 2013

It is always a lovely experience to enter a church with history. A modern church doesn't truly appeal to me but it is still a house of God. I have attended a couple of masses while in the city and I have always enjoyed the architecture.

“Wonderful for a wedding”
Reviewed August 28, 2013

What a perfect place for a wedding. Building is magnificent. Easy free parking. Great place for photos.
One upsetting thing: don't talk in the cathedral you get a lecture on behaving and are told to be quiet. Many people at this wedding had not seen each other for years. To be told off so obnoxiously by one of the officials put a bitter taste in the mouth to begin with.

“Beautiful quiet place”

After visiting the Cathedral we went there and were pleasantly surprised with this little, quiet and quaint chapel. The Saint Mary Mackillop carving is beautiful!!
