Owner description: The Brisbane River is perfect for adventure, leisure and recreation. Go kayaking, stand up paddleboarding or take a trip on a City Cat. Celebrate the Brisbane River at a Riverfire function or just have a picnic in the riverside parkland. The Kangaroo Point Cliffs are a great vantage point to see the Brisbane River, or go rock climbing or abseiling with Riverlife Adventure Centre. Try Story Bridge Adventure climb, cycle, rollerblade or go for a jog. Dance with the local aboriginal tribe, Mirrabooka or visit South Bank. However you look at it you can't visit Brisbane without experiencing the River. Then cruise out to Tangalooma Island Resort for a must do experience. Enjoy!

People cycling, climbing rocks, hop on and off the free ferry to cross and enjoy the south banks. Lovely area to go walking.

As with the city cats this is a nice place to visit. You can stroll along river walk & southbank & cross the walkways & bridges into the city. Very accessable

With the ferries operating all day we spent a few hours on them cruising around and went right into the city and had lunch and walked around.
The walkways and cycleways are superb and very clean and tidy and taking the ferry you get to see heaps of things you would otherwise not see, like looking up at the bridges as you go under them and the beautiful old brick buildings from the ferry were amazing so a camera is a must.
Will certainly be back to do this again.

I have been privileged to have travel the Brisbane river by ferry, private boats, my own boat and a giant cruise ship. It has always been worthwhile.

The CityCat ferries operate from early morning to late and night and are an excellent way of exploring the River and seeing Brisbane; not to be missed.
