So I had one excellent late night and missed the hotel buffet breakfast. Dissapointed but not regretful I took a walk nearby in little stanley street and 2 second cafe I came across was really busy at around 11. Naturally I figured this would be a good place to start.
The waitstaff was evidently under the pump as it appeared she was the only frontline staff. She found me a seat and I ordered a long black with a salmon eggs benedict.
The dish didn't take too long considering it was packed and the servings were ok at $17. Eggs done right, sauce not too strong the way I like it, salmon lovely but there was no english muffin! This must've been the "eastern touch" they're referring to in the menu. Instead it comes with a rye bread toast. Not exactly my thing but the dish was otherwise quite good I ended up happy anyway. I can't see why there's a big rush to this place as it's not that special. Though it is still very good.
My long black was prepared well. Not burnt or watery but done just right.
Will consider a return next time!
