“Terrific spot for a drink and some stylish snacks”

Great location if you can get a seat. We had a nice - something different - bottle of aged Pinot Noir which was the highlight. The ploughmans platter was fabulous too - high quality ingredients.

Sitting at Mr and Mrs G's you feel as though you could be in any great riverfront city location.

“Relaxing afternoon with amazing cocktails”
Reviewed August 11, 2013 via mobile

Been to this place twice in the last two weeks as I loved it so much the first time. I'd seen it walking past one afternoon last month and resolved to make a visit. My fiancé and I went there on a Sunday for our anniversary, and we got there just after it opened (12) so we could get a great table. In actual fact, all the tables have a great view of the harbour so we needn't have worried. We started off with a couple of cocktails, then we had a charcuterie platter, then a couple more cocktails. The cocktails were amazing- both in taste and inventiveness (my fiancé had one garnished with bacon and I had one with blackberry sorbet!). They are a tad expensive ($18 each) but for the flavours and the view it's definitely worth it. The next time we visited it was just as lovely. The wait staff are very attentive too and won't leave you waiting. My only qualm is that I wish they let you reserve tables! Ill just have to keep making sure I show up early. Overall, a great place for lazy afternoon cocktails in the city

“A hidden gem”
Reviewed July 27, 2013 via mobile

We happened to walk past this place as we were heading back to our hotel and decided to stop in for a drink. So glad we did!

A cute little bar with a huge cocktail list, lots of wine by the glass and spectacular views of the Brisbane River.

We weren't going to eat but saw the Ploughmans lunch and decided to give it a go. Best Ploughmans lunch I've ever had!

If we didn't have a flight to catch we could have easily spent hours here and enjoyed the live music that was setting up just as we left.

Skip the rest around the Eagle Street Pier and come here!

“Great lunch and wine bar in the evening.”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

Awesome service. Great gourmet sandwiches at lunch. The rare beef one is particularly good. So too the pulled pork. And the potatoes that come with them are sinfully good along with the aioli. Outside of the sandwiches the fish cakes are awesome. And in the evening nothing goes past a couple of glasses of the Vino Athletico Pinots. Great place.

“Great food, great wine, great location”
Reviewed June 12, 2013

We had the pleasure of enjoying a lazy afternoon on the Queens Birthday public holiday at Mr & Mrs G Riverbar. It was raining but we were cosy inside enjoying the fabulous tapas & watching the activity on the Brisbane River. Cassie looked after us & she did it brilliantly. She was attentive whilst giving us space. She knew her stuff when it came to the food & how much to order. We had the garlic prawns, the greek meatballs & the goats cheese croquettes - all sublime! Wonderful flavours! Topped off with glasses of Chandon bubbles - a perfect way to spend a wet winter afternoon in Brisbane! Thanks for the great service Cassie.
